Keep him. The whole team is playing well. Torts is the best coach in the NHL. Michkov is fantastic. I keep forgetting he's just turned 20. The young man's attitude is spot on. The teams progress is undeniable! Love this Flyers team, awesome to witness this process.
Flyers hockey is back, not too late to get a seat on the bandwagon. All are welcome!
    Let's Go Flyers💯💪

Sean couturier makes more money than
    Adrien Kempe
    Nico Hischier
    Zach Hyman
    Tage Thompson
    Clayton Keller
    Anze Kopitar
    Brad Marchand
    Aaron Ekblad
He makes the same amount as
    Quinn Hughes
    Cole Caufield
    Jack Hughes
    JT Miller
    Jesper Bratt
    Nick Suzuki
He has consistently averaged less than 12 minutes of ice time and is a shell of his former self. he has scored in 5 games this year having played 45. The flyers have to pay him until 2030. It's gonna be hard to compete until then with contracts like that.
(I know scoring isnt everything, but if you know anything about the sport, you understand that he is at this point in his career, a bottom 6 center and on the decline) He is not a terrible hockey player by any means, but you can not argue he is not wildly overpaid for what he is. Back surgery is no joke.

Fortunately the cap is going to be going up and we have a decent amount of money coming off the books. You can't predict injuries so you can't really hold his contract against him but I do agree it'll be a pretty big albatross around the team's neck. Danny and company will have to get creative to work around it.

@@bdawk511 I dont hold it against him at all. im sure hes a great guy, but im just pointing out a glaring issue in this team and their future. it helps make sense why we are where we are. Back surgery completely changes a player. not his fault, but an issue nonetheless
and im not even going to bring up Ryan ellis

Dude this team is not good enough to win a cup nor even a wildcard round, this is the type of the player you absolutely trade at 29 years old, his value is maxed and we could easily get a first for him. Exactly what the guy said, this is what makes teams mediocre for years by not picking a path of going for a high draft picks or going after high end talent and just keeping these aging assets that will keep us in purgatory and land us another Luchanko type prospect or worse , not saying he’s a bad player but with the 13th overall pick, ur looking for a little more than barely being a ppg player in the ohl lol

@@mikelatendresse4838dude besides drafting michkov (who was a miracle to fall to us, he didn’t trade up for him) and finding Zavrigan in the 3rd, brieres been incredibly underwhelming, I don’t think it’s his fault, I believe Comcast is behind all of this in the sense of not allowing a full blown rebuild, but if I was Briere, Laughton and Farabee should’ve been gone last deadline/offseason, and Risto would be traded right now as his value is the highest and he has a deeper injury history so I wouldn’t take that chance that he’s injured and lowers his stock for this deadline
