In today's video we crack on with the 450bhp Audi S1 and try and rectify the issues from the previous video where I broke it!

really helpful of racingline! They charge enough for their parts so would have thought could send out a bolt easily enough
The racing line kits are probably manufactured and packaged overseas… so sending a part out would mean splitting a kit.
@@id70b40that’s what I was going to say it’s not going to be something they have lying around there in business to make money not do favours and lose money in the process that’s business I’m afraid
So they should hold enough stock to smooth out any problems. Not rocket science, just business sense.
Get very tired of manufacturers who insist on selling a very expensive parts kit instead of, say as a goodwill gesture, sending a 25p part pp free - it's just small mindedness and doesn't do them any favours when I'm next shopping for upgrades.
Most of these 'manufacturers' are just importers
@@pequod1 True, but I needed a rubber seal for a domestic water pump a couple of years ago, should have cost £10 maximum, so contacted the Oxford based manufacturer to be told I would need to spend £150 on a repair kit so had to scrap a perfectly good pump; not very environmentally friendly but, hey, think of the profit eh?
Yeah it’s such a rip off to repair anything these days. Not very green but that only seems relevant when we’re being taxed

I like this channel, because of a few reasons..A) He repairs every day cars, B) he fixes them alone, and C) if he makes mistakes then he tells you and doesn't edit it out..he admits his errors..I have just purchased tickets for the new competition which is an Audi too..I wouldn't be worried about owning a car that he has rebuilt..he always makes sure they are legal and safe before he sends them to the competition..keep doing what you are doing mate, love the content, and you make me giggle sometimes..Pete UK

I used to make the gearshift cables for Ford focus and mondeao. First parts to be fitted to the car following body colour. Any warranty or remedial work was a nighttmare. I bet you paid more for your cables than Ford paid ud for ours!

Soon as I saw the weld on the exhaust clamp I thought devils fitted that as they did the same to mine 🤙

The prop is rubbing on the exhaust on the gearbox side btw.... The witness marks shows it pretty clearly.
Standard racing banjo bolt. You can get this kind of thing of the shelf at Racing Suppliers like Trident at Silverstone Ind Est. Easy to get but ebay works too!! When's the R8 going on competing for cars?? ;)
Great fix, a little worried you didn't give it a full send it will be the first thing i do when i win this little beauty
Clearly when the A1/Polo/Fabia/Ibiza platform was being developed, they never considered serviceability issues that might arise if a propshaft was added, but I suppose this is part of the fun of a performance special variant - it's expensive, so expect any servicing to be a faff. Seeing you working on your cars adds confidence to the end result, at least.

A fairly easy rebuild by your usual standards although that gear linkage looked a PITA! Nice car although wouldn't be for me can't you do an F' Type for raffle? 😃

That's what happens to your gear selector cables when you try and change gear before your clutch has actually engaged.

It sounds louder than it actually is as it was on cold start.
Ahh devils development! so likely mapped by fella called ben P. done my 2005 a3 8p 2.0 tfsi there. does a good job with smooth power delivery. they based down road from me which is bonus!
Can you add so other people from world can compete?
Example if someone from other country won, they can choose to get cash for amount you sell it..
We’ve looked into it, but gambling laws are different in other countries so it makes it difficult

i find the haldex system on the audi is waste of time they would have better to make it a permenant 4x4 with a 60/40 or an 80/20 split
