It makes you a few ££'s richer not paying a plumber. Who in my experience make it sound like rocket science and as difficult.

I agree wholeheartedly with Des.
Technically the service valve should have a flat faced 1/2" on the tap side, rather than 15mm compression end, to prevent damage to the rubber seal on the tap tails.

Top tip. Some box spanner sets fit all together to make an extra long spanner that is longer than the sink is deep. This allows you to put the bar through the spanner and get a bit move leverage to tighten the tap in place.

Important question here as I’m about to fit one of these. The illustration on the box and the vid here shows the tap on the right hand side. The standard position I guess for right handed people, but my wife is left handed. My question is, can the tap be on the front, so accessible to both hands?
Also, it says it operates 180, but testing it by blowing air into it works 360, my existing tap to be replaced lets water out 360. So no info out there, can it be fitted left, right or centre? Obviously I’m not a pro plumber 😬

What is the name of the metal piece he places on top of the rubber piece to ensure the tap stays in place 00:30
It is a horseshoe metal plate, designed to hold on the horseshoe rubber seal, part of a kitchen tap mounting kit.
What do I do if my flexible connections are leaking? I installed them a few months ago following these instructions and attaching my new tap using flexible pipes to the existing isolation valves, similar to the video. However 6 months on they are now leaking from the part I have connected. Should I tighten some more or undo and try valve tape? Then re attach. Any help would be greatly received! Thank you.
