I've been running Wildpeak AT3w's on my 2000 4Runner, (285/70/17's), and have aprox 30K miles and there is lots of tread left. They have performed well in every condition. Excellent in rain and snow and relatively quiet for all terrain tires. Took it out to Colorado and did the Alpine Loop and they crawled over everything in their path. Will certainly be looking at Falken when these wear out. Great tires.
I have the RTs, very satisfied so far. I drove on the beach in Cape Hatteras last week for the first time and wasn't sure what to expect being a little narrow! I had 20 psi in them and on my 09 lariat supercrew. No problem at all for these. I have 285/75/18. I rotate every 5k and keep the pressures up, I X rotated the 2nd time.
Thanks for the great video. I wanted 35” 11.50s for my Gladiator and there weren’t too many options. I was able to order these through Discount Tire. 😃
Great comprehensive review. I just had AT3w's put on my truck 5 days ago. Replaced my KO2's that didn't even give me 20k so I'm sure hoping these guys give me a little more bang for my buck. The 55k mile warranty was a motivator. I'd never had tires put on at a dealership, but living in Cody, WY it's hard to find what you're looking for, so I'm glad I called the Ford dealership and asked if they could get them. the guy in the service department said, "Oh yeah, those are great tires. What size? Have em in 2 days." Mounted and balanced I was out the door at $993.28 as opposed to the $1,444.00 I paid for the KO2's. I took the KO2's in at 6k for rotate and balance and they were already shot. Never even bothered to rotate and balance them again. They were on a F250 6.0L that sat in the shop so long that even though the mileage was worthy of a reimbursement, the time frame had expired. Well, I got the 6.0 bulletproofed with new Falkens and I'm finally feeling happy about the truck. I'm gonna take it out in the red clay mud today and find out what they can do. Hopefully I came upon a brand I'll use on all my trucks. Thanks man, good info!
I've done 50000 km on mine in 31x10.5r15 on my little Mazda bravo b2500 turbo diesel man they're alright. Haven't done snow as over here in the part of Australia doesn't snow. But mud sand steep climbs etc they do alright.
I've been looking hard at these to replace the Goodyear crap tires that came on my 22 Trail Boss. Nice review so far and I look forward to seeing the update on road noise, ride quality, etc.
Great video. I originally ordered the AT3 but after watching your video, changed my mind and ordered these. Getting 37X12.50R18 for my Wrangler Rubi. Pumped to get them on and try them out. Please keep up posted with any updates.
Update - just got my 37x12.50R18 installed today. They ride great and not loud at all. Very happy with the purchase! Appear to be much more aggressive than the AT3s.
@@dylancampbell8064 I love them they are big lol. I haven’t gone off road with them but I drive 60 miles to work round trip on highway and they are quite and ride smooth
I agree that all the new trucks have bigger rotors and calipers but I didn’t think any of them couldn’t fit a 18 inch rim. most vehicles when you buy the up size rim package you still get the same brakes and tire diameter? I think your correct getting the narrower tire because wider is not always better! There is reasons why commercial trucks still use tall profile tires?
I got the new Toyo R/T trail and I love them and I tow a 12,000 pound trailer too. And with that three peak mountain snowflake symbol. 99% of the vehicles that these tires are mounted on four-wheel-drive. And all 50 states and Canada you’ll have to have traction tires or four-wheel-drive or vehicles only equipped with four-wheel-drive can proceed. Traction tires only come on non-four-wheel-drive vehicles. And I am a truck driver with over 1,000,000 miles experience and I’ve been in bad situations. If you have traction, Tires or the three peak mountain snowflake symbol, Tires. if you have four-wheel-drive and they are requiring you to have a three peak mountain snowflake symbol on your tires to proceed, I hate to break it to anybody, but they are smoking some psychological drug. it doesn’t matter what tire you have on your vehicle if they are requiring you to have a traction tire on your four-wheel-drive vehicle that is not gonna help you chains are the only option if you know what I mean. If you have a good tire on your vehicle and you take care of your tires, it doesn’t matter what tire you have on a four-wheel-drive vehicle chains should be the only thing you turned to.
Might be a stupid question to alot but does it have a tendency to pick up rocks? Can't stand rock slingers, i know its hard to get around it with the tread designs but a pet peeve of mine
Does the siping go all the way through the tread like the klever rt? I’m having balancing issues with my kendas so i’m in the debate zone of getting new kendas later or these falkens
Very good question: this is a game changer for most who spend most of time in the colder regions on snow, ice, and rain. A tire that Siping is only halfway through makes The tread almost worthless after the tire is half worn - in these conditions. I myself will stick with a three mountain snow peak tire due to the softer tread compound for the colder conditions.
Hey guys. I'm trying to understand the following: If the tyre is 11.5 inches wide, how can it measure 9.5? If anyone could help with this, I will be greatly appreciated.
I just had a set of 285 55 22’s put on a 2020 Ford expedition Thursday and they are very loud. I’m very disappointed. I’m a car dealer and run different tires on different trucks was able to get these so I tried them out. The price was so cheap though. I paid 1326 for the set. I just came out of a expedition last week I was running 35 11.50 20 nitto ridge grappler it rides so much better and quiet. But for the price and look I’d say they are worth it but if they go up on the price like they did with the AT3w I will always run a ridge grappler, recon grappler or bfgoodrich.
Because stopping is more important than going, and these trucks have brake rotors that require 20s. SOME 18s will barely fit, but 20s is where it has gone these days due to the size of brake hardware.
Gosh the video quality was awful. 😄 I'll fix that for the next update on this tire.
Did not point out that this tire has raise letters on one side in smooth on the other?

if oyu want an Rt thats 3pmsf, check milestar patagonia XT

@Vincent Mamotos I don't think anything is 3 peak rated that big of a tire.

31000 miles
I have the Kenda Kleaver RT on my Jeep and luv them , and they are Hella cheap too !
Good job. I'm doing my video today. I think that we both are going to beat Trailbuilt to the punch! usually I lag behind them.

I've run at3w on a tacoma and 4runner, fantastic tire. This is Def a possibility for the next tire if more sizes become available.

Curious of the weight and cost of that size compared to the at3w of the same size
How are they working out for you ? On and off road? How many miles do you have on them now?
Any snow reviews? I live in Iowa so I worry about snow, ice and rain on the highway. I don’t travel off road much.
These are nice looking tires, but they get expensive real quick if you move to the 35x12.50/17 or 37x12.50/17.
I just got my tires in this morning I got 38x13.5x17 r/t01 I can’t wait to put them on!
how do you like them? I am about to get the same size on my JKU rubi

How’s the road noise on those rt01? I’m tore in between the at3w, new at4w and those rt01
They have a load range c in the 33" variety. That's so rare nowadays. I have no use for 10ply tires on a midsize suv.
Falcon makes great tires!!!👍
Great video! When do expect to see them off road and wet performance?
Great job! 👍
I want falken to produce side by side tires.
Hopefully, we will see the new AT4 review soon.
Can’t wait to run these in 285/75/17 34 x 11.2
they need testing in southern Arizona, most tires there seperate long before wearing out.
wonder how these will compare to the kenda klever rt
And how is this supposed to be better in mud than AT3W, especially given the mild middle of the tread?
Checking in on this RT. Would you still keep it over the Yokohama Geolander X-AT?
How are they in moderate to heavy rain on asphalt?? Ive had two sets of Nitto Ridge Graps and lost confidence in them on wet surfaces

Could you explain the yellow dot/mounting
Man, the yellow or white dots go in line with the valve stems !
I’d like to get these for my 22 tundra Trd off road
Just ordered some for my ‘22 tundra. Can’t wait to throw them on.
not enough sipping to get the 3 peak rating
Looks like the hankook xt
Nice tire. I don’t think this tire would pass the 3 peak snowflake rating though.
Somehow the Dynapro XT did.
Most “35” tires are actually 34.25”
I wonder how loud they are on the road
They are quieter than all the M/Ts I've reviewed to date. Noise isn't bad at all.

AT3w better rain ice and snow tire, look at the tread, it is obvious.
always carry tire chains
I was ready to order but this tire in 37/12.5/17 is way overpriced compared to others. Come on Falken....
They're just way too heavy. like cmon
Have you had a chance to try these on wet or icy roads?
Good road tire but not for muddy fields or deep snow.
