    Submission elbow knot - . How to arm lock someone from guard? It’s similar to “vysad”. We analyze this submission from few typical positions in Sambo and BJJ. Many don’t know what to do when inside someone’s guard or when opponent stays tight. We also look at this sub from side control. The move is effective and battle tested.

    Sambo is a versatile sport because it has large amount of techniques in standing position as well as on the ground. Why can't you throw an opponent who's equal or stronger opponent? There are two main reasons. First - you're setting up and doing the throw wrong, and the second you're predictable and everyone knows your moves. In both cases your technique is flawed and something has to be changed. All progressive MMA fighters are incorporating sambo submissions. It's easily explainable due to limited time on the ground ( 2-5 seconds to catch and another minute to complete ). Sambists research the fastest and most effective ways to finish for years. Why does everyone want to finish fast? It's an opportunity to finish in style and preserve your energy. I know the taste of quick finishes like no other. 25 years in sambo, 13 World Championships in which i earned 2 golds, 4 silvers, 1 bronze and most importantly 90% of my victories happened before regulation time expired. I spent 20000 hours

      Once I felt the arm bar was done by my 6 years old son (back then he was BJJ while belt). Now before 7 got a gray white belt and started to do RNC when he got upset. It was a chance to explain - don't do submissions when you are angry as some things are not repearable.

    Hello, Ivan! Since I was a white belt I've been encouraged by my master to pay attention and try to incorporate moves from other grappling styles on my own game. Right now I'm a purple belt and since I found your channel I feel like my BJJ skills improved alot. I find your multidisciplinary vision very enriching and the way you explaing moves are easy and straightforward. Keep up the good work. Oss!

      @@davidtice4972 Sounds like you are talking about the Tim Sylvia fight. Herb didn't referee Mir - Williams, and there was no bone breakage. Mir did break Tim Sylvia's arm below the elbow, and I believe Herd did work at that fight.

    The straight arm lock works, you just have to be able to apply enough torque. When applied with a twist in your own arm as you straighten your arm the torque is transferred into your opponents arm. I like this lock you are showing though, will be trying it out

      Sila = "Force (of)"
      Partera = Parter = From French (par terre) = "On the ground." In wrestling, when at least one of the wrestlers is on the ground (or knees).
      Basically the force that you use when wrestling on the ground. Hopefully it helps.
