I know that the classic scene to go with this song is a Siren luring in his next victim. But I thought of something cute: A merman is just practicing his singing, because the cave has great acoustics. He unknowingly lures you in, since you happen to be walking the beach at night. When you approach him, he ducks back into the water to hide. But you say you don't mean any harm and just want to talk to him. After coaxing him back out, he sings for you again, lulling you to sleep in his lap. Wherever it goes from there is up to you. :D
She sighed as she sat on the beach, the golden rays of the evening sunset kissing her flesh. She just wanted love. Someone to hold her at night, to protect her, for someone to call her own. Instead, she gets a back stabbing man that sleeps with the maid more than her. Then, in the mists of her mental argument, she heard it. a song calling to her over the crashing of the endless waves. It was a whisper at first, but then the song grew louder, and louder, until the foreign words echoed in her head. Her rage and saddens all but dissapeared. She wobbled to her feet and began to wander down the beach, searching for the source of the heavenly song that plagued her ears. The mesmerizing melody lead her to the notorious cave. Many sailors called it the "Merman's Lair". She herself didn't believe in such a ridiculous story. a half man half fish. Just saying it sounded obserd. And yet, the song was still being sung, she was still wandering to the cave. With each lyric that invades her ears, more and more of her logic left her mind, until all that was left was a yearning for the conductor of this beautiful ballad. It is a treat to hear the male sirens send out their calls to unsuspecting souls. Being a child of water, and a merpeople lover since I was born, I have some vestiges of control when listening to the dulcet, haunting tones of the water. Only some though; my heart longs to be near the water, even if I was born and raised near forests and mountains.

He stopped before the entrance of the cave, the stones seeming to whisper at him to enter. He did, vanishing into the darkness of what was dubbed ‘The Cave of the Mermen.’ Legend has it that if you are near the cave during a summer evening, you’ll hear two voices filtering out, beckoning the lost and lonely to enter.

Hack. *Suitors?* Hack. *Marriage?!* Hack! *Does a princess have any say on what goes on in her life?!* HACK. *Why is it that everything is decided for me?!* HACK. HACK. *It's my life! MINE! MY OWN!* HACK! HACK! HACK! CRACK! Merida jumped at the sudden sound as she noticed a huge fault creeping up the bedpost to her right at the foot of her bed. She stared at it as her heart thumped in her chest. The crack slithered higher. She still held her sword in a clammy, trembling grip. It was then that she heard the last sound she could ever expect through the glass window to her left - a voice singing a wordless song. It floated from outside and through the glass, filling her room and surrounding her like a rolling mist. It was gentle, ethereal, even reminiscent of a siren's call - and yet was distinctly male. The eeriness of it all in such an intimate space should have made her skin crawl and her hair stand on end - but it didn't do that at all. If anything, it soothed her and ebbed her wrath. It enveloped her like a soft, close embrace. The bedpost ceased its cracking. The marks from her sword slashes miraculously began to fade. Merida's face softened as she stared in wonder at the bedposts, and then off into space as she got lost in the beautiful voice. She could feel it vibrate against her body, as though it was quietly singing in her ear as it washed away the tension in her muscles. Her breathing became slower, deeper. The grip on her sword loosened by degrees. She lost herself even further and collapsed onto her bed, lying on her back as the voice filled her ears and continued to soothe her body. Eventually she closed her eyes and sighed deeply. The sword fell completely out of her hand and clattered to the ground.
