- Join me for a rare day out when everything seemed to go according to plan! I travel from Hampshire to Shaftesbury, Dorset to collect a very smart, and very blue, Ford Ranger Wildtrak X. We’ll then have a walk around Shaftesbury and explore the idyllic Gold Hill - one of the most recognisable streets in England, in part thanks to its starring role in a certain Hovis bread advert from more than 50 years ago! It was a beautiful day, a beautiful place to visit, a really nice vehicle, a very scenic journey and even the traffic was fine. If only every day could be like this! A really nice day out.

I thoroughly enjoy your videos. I'm not that interested in the vehicles. At my age a van is a van but its more like a travel show without the ego normally displayed by many presenters. Surprisingly you venture to many places I once frequented thus rekindling distant memories. Long may you continue.
Thank you!
Gold Hill was also used in the 1967 film Far from the Madding Crowd. Sergeant Troy (Terence Stamp) rides with his cavalry troupe down the hill.
Just happened upon your channel, not too bothered about the cars but your travels are fascinating and refreshingly down to earth, well done, subscribed. 😊 ☺.
Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying the videos!
I love that back road too 😊
Are you not worried about the vegetation scratching the vehicles with oncoming traffic ?
Thank you 😊
Shaftesbury.
In Dorset?
Yes, I would, it’s lovely!
Awesome vlog as per usual Chris. Always stop what I’m doing when notification comes through, and straight on to RUclips to see where your journey take us.
Thank you very much Mark!
Chris yes I remember the hovis bread ad 😍. That Ranger looked a beauty. Although have to say the VW AMAROK my son in law bought from TMC is a beauty too😍. Awaiting your next adventure 👍👍👍
Thanks Gary!
