Growing up in the 90s was a privilege. We didn't have much. No internet or cellular phones or iPads. Only tmnt mortal kombat and batman toys and only had the sega nes and arcade machines at the mall. While the big kids hog all of them. Saturdays consisted of watching the best cartoons, riding our bikes, having water balloon fights and having sleep overs while staying up to discuss the meaning of life after playing snes games. Simple but life was sweet in the 90s-early 2000s. Dammit I want to go baaaack 😓😥😔😭
I have a way we can go back. Meet me at the base of the Space Needle November 14th at 3:27am. Bring : 2 sets of underwear socks and tshirts and one pair of rugged waterproof pants, 1 pair rubber soled sneakers, one light reflective jacket. Ask no questions 😶
Emmanuelle, me too!! I would give anything to go back, & leave the complete insanity & misery that is 2020, behind!! Idc what anyone says about the '90s! That was my childhood & those were much better times!! We kids definitely didn't have much to worry about, back then.
I know the Titanic was a super tragedy. But I still get a huge laugh at the part in the movie when the guy falls off the railing and hits the fan then spins on into the water.
Can you Imagine all those people in the water too. & when the stern broke apart Coming that heavy big thing coming down on all them. yes it broke apart. But another fact is. it did not come apart until it was completely underwater. The bow was still hanging on by the keel.
Love your videos like always good to see a new one and I agree with you disrespectful is the one of the Titanic transformer and that's saying a lot cuz I love the transformers and I remember the hairy balls thing that's funny
I was one of the kids who used the water wrigglers in suggestive ways. Even today I can’t help but “wiggle” it and giggle. It was like the shake weight of the 90’s lol but with glitter.
Thanks Laura, Didn’t have any but I remember the commercials booger and dancing doll. At least the doll didn’t twerk. Did play with lawn darts when they first came out . Also my weapon of choice in the zombie apocalypse.🤠 Oh ya the sparking Barbie commercial looked like an original SNL spot.🎃
Geez, please don't give any of these companies any ideas of a twerking doll. I cringe so hard at the thought of that, & the implications of it are terrifying!!
I still have that Titanic bot but the motor included inside the toy doesn't work anymore, I got that toy on a Christmas present back in the beginning of the 2000's
I was pretty boring with my tous back then. It was all about TMNT and MMPR for me. I fondly remember these commercials but I missed the craze on a lot of these.
lmao! I remember seeing Titanic bot in one of those toy stores in malls that somehow got away with selling nothing but knock-offs and bootlegs, around when the movie came out.
My brain shook in my skull when I saw the Savage Mondo Blitzers. I had a few of them (the football player and the Gun Runner ones I think). My nostalgia bone was hit really hard, thank you for allowing me to remember those.
I had a mad ball that I glued to the end of May cars antenna that was able to extend up and down, so I could extend it all the way up and easily find my car in a parking lot
@@megatronjenkins2473 ..... nice. I just ran the skates across any flat surface I could find. I’m pretty sure that I took them to school, and the teacher confiscated them.
For some reason this reminds me about "Yoga balls" originally being sold in Toys R Us. They were quickly adopted as the exercise equipment and never again as something for kids. No doubt the company that made them realizing they could mark up the price for gyms.
I had Gooey Louie. My mom thought it was the grossest toy ever. I remember hearing about a cabbage patch kid you could feed and it's mouth moved to eat. It was recalled because girls got their hair stuck in its mouth. Also, some Teletubbies were recalled because adults thought some of the words they said sounded offensive.
Oh, man. My sister had a Po and La La doll growing up. I remember us laughing about hearing “bad words” and even my mother cracked up when she heard what we all thought was profanity. Thanks for reminding me about those!
StarCom and Z-Bots were awesome. And tiny detaching transforming robot watch! And Punch Poppers? Flywheel car that you rev up and hit a clutch button. And The Animal!
The hairy balls you hurl lmfao i remember seeing some of these but never having them. Ohh God i miss the creativeness of the 90s. Frankly its cool seeing how even toys have been affected by all the PC culture lol
Awesome list of weird toys. I do remember a few of these and its crazy how toy companies thought some of these were a good idea. The water jiggler was definitely interesting...
Another fun filled, dare I say, educational video. As for having any weird toys back in the day can’t say I did, not like today I’m sure I have a few hiding in the shadows
That Savage Mondo Blitzers commercial narrated by the legendary Victor Caroli (best known for narrating Transformers episodes and a lot of Hasbro toy commercials) really made my day. He's still active and his photography work is incredible! www.caroliphotoart.com/
Aw I actually owned a few of the Savage Mondo figs as a kid. And I laughed way to hard at Challenger Bot....I mean it was a tragedy but I didnt expect that soundbite lol. Maybe scratch that off my list for the next product developing meet at work lol. Great vid as always!

Somehow I kind of wish I had a roller blade Barbie during Boy Scout campouts because that would have come in handy to start campfires so we could actually roast the marshmallows

As someone who was born in the 90s I had Gooey Louie it was fun lol and I’m sure I saw a titanic bot once at a garage sale. Also hope you, dante and muffin are all well.
Your narrative about these toys was so spot on. Especially the Titanic Bot and that Suzy doll, boy did you hit the nail on the head with that opinion. As usual a pretty funny and entertaining video. Thanks. By the way have you seen Bigfoot on the Island yet, ha ha.
Talk about weird toys! Now those kids really were playing with fire with Rollerblade Barbie, youch!! I can't believe these toys actually existed (or still exists!) Don't give your kids any toy, OK? Just be smart about it! Thanks for sharing, Laura! XXXOOO

those things you listed as far as I can google, do not have robots made of them, but Titanic , Hindenburg, and the world trade center have been Halloween costumes. also some of these are similar to other toys with the same concept. Like the skate board ones. And the Barbie roller blades, there was a he-man toy that also shot sparks I wonder if it was dangerous too? and there are a TON of goose out toys in the children's board games section too. Hey this toy is a 2020 toy, but I just saw an add for a flamingo that poops in a toilet aside from being disgusting, it raises the question, why a flamingo? and why are all the pooping toys for girls?

Hey, Laura, love your channel! I was born in 1979 (fuck I'm old), so I actually had a lot of the toys I've seen in your videos. I had Gooey Louie, and the feet from a couple skating Barbies, but I weaponized them for my G.I.Joes, lol! Ultimate M.U.S.C.L.E. figures were all over the house, as 7 year-old me annoyed the piss out of my next-door neighbors' garage sale into selling me a gallon bag of them for $5! Can't wait for your next video, applause from my mighty Decepticon Army!!!
Is no one mentioning how bizarre the story of the Sister and brother with Rollerblade Barbie is? What a dysfunctional family situation, "Playing Beauty Shop", somehow spray your brother's butt with enough hairspray that you can ignite a fire by rolling this doll across said butt? Not to mention, toys with flint gimmicks (especially back in the good ole 90's) usually required some pressure to cause a spark......
Dude, I was thinking the same thing! I was wondering just what other kind of weird, questionable activities, this brother & sister were engaging in. Totally dysfunctional situation!
Anybody ever heard of sparking razor jetts heel wheels? They are like rollerdlade Barbie but for actual kids shoes. I found a pair online last year and had to buy them even though I'm post-30... they actually work and are quite well constructed.
And this is not the only gross-out/scatological toy and/or game out there. Hell, I'd be happy if the _Doggie Doo_ game never saw the light of day. But "No" on _both_ counts. *Pimple Pete* - Same basic premise as Gooey Louie, except you're trying to pull zits out of some guy's face while trying to avoid the pimple that will cause the red zit on the end of his nose to squirt on you. *Flushin' Frenzy* - Why are so many of these games Gooey Louie clones? In this game, you have to plunge a toilet according to the roll of a die to make Mr. Hankey's ugly brother pop out. Oh, but that's not all. The object of the game is, when the anthropomorphic poo pops out, one of the players tries to _catch it_ before it hits the ground. *Don't Step In It* - the game where you have to, in bare feet, navigate a minefield of poop... blindfolded. And yes, this _is_ as disgusting as it sounds. At least it isn't another Gooey Louie clone, though. *Gotta Go Flamingo* - This is a fairly recent addition. This is an animated talking flamingo toy. "Animated" in that its neck wiggles, but that's not the gross part. You feed it this granulated stuff... Then suddenly it starts making distressed noises, indicating it's "Gotta Go." You sit it on the included toilet and it poops out the granulated stuff which, when it hits water, sticks together... I'm just going to call the stuff what it is: it's Magic Sand. Oh, but that's not all! You get to _see_ the flamingo taking a crap, because the toilet bowl is made of _clear_ plastic! And there's STILL more! Earlier I mentioned that the stuff he eats is, essentially, Magic Sand. Well, when you pour the water and sand into the sieve/serving spoon, the poop turns back into food! *Barbie and Tanner* - Another one where you feed the toy (Tanner, the dog) its own poops. I mean, I get that it _has_ to be made that way for economic reasons; but still, the idea of it... And there are others (I'm _certain_ of it) that I'm neglecting to mention. I swear, we are witnessing the death throes of Western Civilization.
Thanks for reminding me that I f**ked a water jiggler
This may be one of my favourite comments ever...
I told my wife I did that as a teen, now everyone we walk by one in a store she cracks up, even if we’re in a group. Oh, puberty....
😂😂😂😂
This sounds awesome!
I'm so glad to see I'm not the only young boy that did that, i feel a little more normal now🤣
Gooey Louie gives me mad 90s Vietnam Flashbacks, what a time for toys! Should do a featurette on Stretch Armstrong, another weird toy from history!
