Nice vid! But what do you mean?... Quest 3 with Virtual Desktop works flawlessly! At least for me 😊 Untethered...no base stations...great fov...Love it.
Apparently it’s something with the i9 14th gen and 4090 that just doesn’t like the quest 3. So instead of spending more time troubleshooting, I just got a headset that don’t need extra encoding😭
I love my quest 3, the only single issue I have with it Is the black levels, it really needs local dimming, it does have this new setting for adaptive contrast which I believe dims the entire thing in dark scenes does work well... Sometimes, anyway I run the brightness super low, I have the contrast up a bit and I still love it absolutely mind blowing overall
The stutter-but-not-a-stutter you're describing sounds a lot like when the headset is forced to rely entirely on reprojection for a moment. SteamVR has a dashboard you can pull up either on the PC or in the headset that will show a frametime graph. Green good, yellow is reprojection w/ motion smoothing (reliant on the headset AFAIK), orange is reprojection without smoothing, red means it's running at 1/3rd fps. I noticed the stutter-but-not-a-stutter is almost always a little yellow spike, sometimes a small yellow block on the time-graph. According to the frametimes, it should be the same effective FPS, but it sure doesn't feel like it. There's a painful list of 22 known issues that the steamvr community has put together. It takes some searching but it's worth finding. In my case, I had to turn off Windows's Hardware-Accelerated GPU scheduling, and close Vanguard.
@@MichaelZhao Ah yep, afterburner and similar hw monitors are one of the most common causes. They still don't play well with HMDs for some reason. The common assumption is that the hw monitors' polling method and/or frequency causes VR headsets to hitch.
I'm sticking with the index until another headset is released and has less problems and better features. I'll also have to wait until I get enough money for it lmao
The quest 3 uses lcd screens so the dark scenes get really washed out.i have the quest 3 and psvr2 and some games and movies i prefer my psvr2 because of the oled screen.
I’ve always liked to use the quest 3 plugged in so I don’t gotta worry about battery. Beyond’s 90hz feels like Quest 3s 120 due to the Micro Oled panels. (Only issue I have with it is recording in 60fps, the frames are not even) And the best improvement, is no more issues when recording VR (OBS and Meta don’t have to fight for GPU encoder) (BSB- 13.1 million pixels) (Quest 3- 9.11 million pixels)
Love how you actually edit the gameplay to look like what you saw in the headset! Very cool and helpful.
This is a big leap in your vr journey bro congrats! Been here since the quest 2 days :)
" is that a berret suppressor?!" No its a toilet paper roll 😂
It made me laugh to
Bro your vids are so entertaining
holy transitions

Your gunna be MASSIVE one day, I wanna be like you bro
2:30 i can throw this thing across the map that got me rolling 🤣 🤣
Nice review. If only pico 4 ultra came out with higher res panels. That would have been it.
I’m waiting for the beyond 2.0. Base stations and very tiny sweet spot + fov are not optimal
Right now the psvr2 on pc is working good for me.
michael has stacks
Stacks of coins 🪙
I can vouch for Quest 3 stutters. V71 ruined me D:
You da best got RUclipsr
@ appreciate you 🫡👀

I managed to fixed it by deleting the Nvidia app MSI after burner. No clue why that worked.

Magic 🪄
Those headphones are probably Koss Porta Pros... unbeatable for like 40 years!
Looking like Sennheiser PX-100s 😅
Those Koss drivers are what the Rift CV1 used, right?
The only reason I still occasionally use my CV1 is audio.
@DiamondDepthYT Correct
