Im getting there!!! Started drumming in 1995 but only took rudiments seriously during the P*ndem*c. I play along to 30 mins ot music every day and my feel has improved dramatically.
Nice. I've been putting effort into flow as a major focus point recently and this was a good watch. Especially the 3rd point, I have indeed been slowing down my rudiment practice and spreading it over the kit, including my feet. Cheers again 👍
I really found the first exercise to help! It's crazy how I've already spent about an hour and a half just improvising with this groove as the backbone
Really grt lesson. Thank u 🍻. Besides t ones u mentioned. Thomas Lang. JP Bouvet and all t drummers from Berkeley in his class. Moore, big dude with dope stikz. T young italian dude who sheds with moore on a vid for drumeo. And most, if not all, pro drummers with 15 plus yrs. And clearly....u! Its very difficult to imagine me ever finding that elusive key of speed and clarity. And clarity with correct space, efficient technique, limb independence etc, isnt a 5 yr thing. I thought it was a 1 to 2 yr thing. How totally ignorant and arrogant I was 🤦♂️
It takes practice and consistency. That's the key. If you did one of these exercises for 5 minutes a day, only increasing the tempo by 5 when you have it super clean and relaxed. In a month....BOY! the progress you would make
@DaveMajor thanks Dave. Been focusing on this for a week now. Already feeling a difference, sounding cleaner too. T metronome is where i notice how poor my time is because I failed to use it for long periods.
Great video as ever. Clear and informative. I’m a guitarist and feel these tutorials useful for me to get a basic grasp of drumming theory in the event of something jarring or not working in a band situation. Members of s band need to think together as well as play together. 👍
High quality Dave! I especially like the first one with the triplets, I’ll be on that! Also, apologies, I was ACTUALLY SLEEPING when this vid went live! A rare day indeed!🤣
Who is the most fluid drummer out there? Let me know 👇👇🥁
I am practicing right now I've made loads of riffs

Thats so awesome to hear! Glad im not rambling too much in these lessons! What type of music do your band play?
Dave Depends on which of us gets to the mic first. You and I have played together briefly about 7 years ago.
We did indeed dude! The beauty of youtube handles hiding your real name :) hope you and the fam are well!
