- Screensets are one of my favorite features in REAPER and one of the best ways to customize the REAPER interface to suit the task at hand. In other words, they're an amazing workflow tool that you should absolutely be using!
In this video I will talk you through setting up my favorite window layouts/screensets that I use, show you the shortcuts I use for saving and loading, plus some other ideas for screensets you might find helpful.

Excellent demo of Screensets and one of the best I've seen. I learned a ton.
Thank you. I've been putting off looking at this for ages.
Great video as always, thank you. RUclips thing: I love the thumbnail for this video. Very eye catching, futuristic and minimal.
Glad you liked it! I make thumbnails with Pixelmator Pro for mac.
Thank you again for your informative and likeable videos! You helped me a lot when I started to use Reaper 2 years ago...
My screen set for two windows ALWAYS opens the mixer window in a non maximized mode. Anyone else have this problem?
Hello, i like the tutorial and you can do a tutorial on mixing afro pop music please 👏👏
Would love to know more background about your switch to PC. My 2013 Mac Pro is starting to show its age so I’m thinking about switching teams too....
I was so close to buying a new Mac Mini but the processor options don't make it a big upgrade from what I was running before. and for streaming and recording video I need the dedicated video card.
This is a good value, certainly powerful but I would prefer to be running MacOS.
system specs are here kit.co/reaperblog/streaming-pc-build-2020
Thanks for the contribution, tremendous, a question, you will understand that reaper has an audio engine more transparent than samplitude x4, I really have samplitude daw long ago and I thought that nothing equals samplitude but I acquired reaper recently and this surprised with the crarity of things, a simple static mix, It really sounds clearer and I know that reaper is 64 bits float and samplitude only 32 bits and even if you configure reaper as samplitude and reaper sampling itself it is perceived as clearer and I have no bad hearing, I would like to know what you think, if so, and I have been looking to know what kind of audio engine it has, because I think it is not normal if it is equated to magix. I would like to know your opinion if it is not annoying or takes time away from your work.
I just noticed I can't seem to focus the docked MIDI editor. I was trying to set a template to switch between midi editing, the mixer, and edit mode. Any thoughts? Thanks for the video!
How did you get the mixer sidebar?
Great video as always. Tangential question, are you using Obs Studio for screen capture of something else?
Streamlabs OBS, but basically same as OBS studio
@@TheREAPERBlog, thanks for the info. I run a Linux system so it looks like I'll need to stick with Obs Studio.
What theme do you have going there? Looks good.
That's the default on Reaper 6.xx
i need to have two sets of the same video one for the artist to dubb & one to dubb in control room , how can i do it in reaper? one video should be in the docker the other in full screen
right now you can't unfortunately. Best you can do is full screen on second monitor in control room, and clone that to 3rd monitor or projector for artist.
wow you can hear the denoising on your voiceover
Hi! I have a small but annoying problem. do you know how to increase number of fx shortcuts in reaper? it seems there are 100 of them, and I use all and need more
It's meant for favorites so that seems like enough to me. It's not the only way to add fx after all.
I can tell you the shortcuts are saved into reaper-fxoptions.ini
and there's a feature request for more here

@@TheREAPERBlog thanks for answering! yes i know that it`s not the only way to do it, but reaconsole adds only one same fx per track , and another ways of doing it don`t fit me for some reason. also i know about fxoptions.ini. You might think why I need so many shortcuts in a first place, it`s too much, but I made toolbars(EQ Compressors Verbs ets) with different kind of fx that I use most often, so 100 is not so many after all=)
When I discover screensets on Reaper, I uninstall all the other daws I got on my PC in a minute
Kool stuff. Glad to see you are well. Why new PC did you get Proc, MB?

@@TheREAPERBlog Not bad. I think I would have went with a i7 9700 k core per core the Inlets are faster, but at $ 180 US it's a good deal versus the Intel's. No insult or putting you down just a comment on my end.
You can compare here www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/Intel-i7-9700K-vs-AMD-Ryzen-5-3600/3335vs3481
@@TheREAPERBlog I use this site cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-9700K-vs-AMD-Ryzen-5-3600/4030vs4040. This shows real world user performance. I am not slamming you. It's a good chip no doubt. It is just from my research and knowledge in IT. Intel's are a little faster per core than AMD per core. Multi core the AMD are cheaper and better bang for the buck. Did you get a water cooler?
@@TheREAPERBlog Look at this chart.
www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/Intel-i7-9700K-vs-AMD-Ryzen-5-3600-vs-Intel-i7-4790K/3335vs3481vs2275 Look at the CPU Single Thread Rating the 4790k is just a little behind yours. Yes you have 2 more cores but this is what I am trying to explain. I am not trying to be a wise butt just sharing my info of what I know.
