Hi Kenny, Thank you so much for your amazing videos! We're very lucky to have so many passionate Reaper experts sharing this useful experience with the newbies. I just had a question: How do you access the "Small big meter" option in Track layouts? I only have A, B, C and percentage values of those 3; I got a decently big meter, but nothing like what you showed. Thanks :)
hi kenny, just to say your vidios are fantastic and very informative. my question is, being relativly new to digital recording and reaper being the DAW of choice have you any tips on learning all the stuff available within the DAW and your videos. thanks. look forward to new videos
I'm having trouble with track heights MCP - When pull up track/s in MCP and save it in screen set window it stays like it as long as I close project and open up another one - with every new one track shrink back to minimal height. I want to have same height for track/s in MCP always (on every project). Is there a way to do that? (Like in this video) ? Thanx!
when i pull my mixer to the left of the tcp it only shows the master fader and won't change to the track you want when you scroll through tracks on the tcp like you did
Oh! thanks for question and for answer guys! :-) Be sure to check "scroll view when tracks activated" (right-clic on background of mixer window) if necessary...
Hi Kenny, Is there a way to get more than 10 screensets? Tried changing the number in reaper-screensets.ini but it didn't change anything. Thnx in Advance.
yeah sorry i was a bit vague. i ment that there is so much to learn have you any tips . do i write it all down. pick major points. just wondered how you went about learning it in such detail. thank you for your reply
I explain it in great detail because I'm teaching but you don't need to learn that way. Just use the program and if you get stuch, search my videos for that topic. Thanks
Nice feature. However, Reaper got issues recalling the screenset/layout I had in my last session. Despite running my "Default" screenset, it insists on opening my video screenset when I run Reaper. As soon I hit F7 it's all good, but it's annoying to do it every time. I've seen forum posts of other people having the same issue, but haven't found a solution yet. Any suggestions?
What you can do: Run SWS/S&M: Set startup action then right click in the actions window on the action: Screenset: Load window set #(your default window set) to copy that action to the 'startup' action window press 'OK' and then save that project. (Your default project or any other project you've created.)
This is not working for me in reaper 6. Simply does not work. O just want to change the layout and position of the mixer by pressing shift+1 or shift+2, but nothing heppens. Anyone going through the same?
Kenny - You are the BEST teacher EVER!
Awesome Kenny your the best, always so very informative.
Many Thanks, Kenny. I love screensets in Reaper. So powerfull for the workflow. :)

This is a much older video and the reaper themes have changed. In fact, more changes are coming so I'm not ready to update this video til then.

thanks alot was trying to figure this out
having trouble adjusting global track height, is there even a way to do this?
Thanks for all you amazing videos Kenny.
let me clarify a bit, I want to have keystrokes to change the height of tracks
when i pull my mixer to the left of the tcp it only shows the master fader and won't change to the track you want when you scroll through tracks on the tcp like you did
you have to right-click the mixer and then uncheck the "Master Track" : "Show In Mixer" option
Oh! thanks for question and for answer guys! :-) Be sure to check "scroll view when tracks activated" (right-clic on background of mixer window) if necessary...
How do I make my mixer look similar to yours?
Cheers

i wish there must be a good drum sequencer to make beats easily else everything is perfect about Reaper DAW.

press 'OK' and then save that project.

Many thanx for this!
Can I drag the mixer onto a separate screen does anyone know. ie, another monitor.
Yes. Just undock the mixer and move the mixer window to the screen you want it on.
This is not working for me in reaper 6. Simply does not work. O just want to change the layout and position of the mixer by pressing shift+1 or shift+2, but nothing heppens. Anyone going through the same?
Check your hotkeys.
