Thanks for this ❤ i love seeing how we all do things differently and really clever tips. I will have a new way to play with my rust powder now and possibly a combination of ideas
Thanks Mags, you have got some really great looking sheets of rusty goodness to play with . Thanks for sharing how you do yours. I’m lucky here in B.C. ,Canada to have my favourite shop carry the rust powder ❣️
Thank you, yes all is well here. My mum has been unwell, so I've been spending more time caring for her. I hope to create more videos soon, fingers crossed 😊
Thank you, sometimes I layer up the papers, it depends on the look I want. Also they can stick together and tear when you separate them. I do have several old baking sheets that I use as well as the plastic tray. I stack them on top of each other leaving room for the air to get in. I hope that helps
Is the rust dye effect permanent? Like if I use this paper in collage with matte medium on top & bottom, will the rust smear? Or is it permanently set into the paper? Thank you for this rusty goodness! I didn’t know there was such a thing as rust powder!
Thank you, the rust is fairly permanant but you may get a little smearing if there is loose rusting powder. You could seal the pages by brayering the matte medium onto a gel plate and then pressing the page onto the plate to coat the paper. Hope that helps.
Mags, these rusty pages you've created make my heart beat faster! These are so cool. Thank you for the fun demo here!
Thank you, I hope you have a go and have fun 😊

Wow, the rusting powder goes a long way. You get a great result with little powder. I love your accent.

Thank you, you are very lucky to be able to get it locally. I get it from a great firm in Scotland, Stampers Grove. Have fun
Thank you. Haven't seen you in awhile. Hope all is well.

Such a good idea. Do you just do one page at a time? It would take quite a while to get several papers done.

Love the effect. Dies the vinegar smell dissipate?
Thank you, yes it does eventually. I tend to store the rusted sheets with a good air flow around them for a while, that helps.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you 😊

What do you do with them?
I use them in my mixed media projects. Sorry I missed your comment until now .
