I just heard on another video with Sam Moore being interviewed talking about how Sam and Dave met and started performing together. It was legendary and inspiring. I had never heard that story before and l’ve been listening to them since the sixties.
Sam Moore, the towering tenor of the Sam & Dave soul music duo whose mid-1960s hits “Soul Man” and “Hold On, I’m Comin’ ” soundtracked the lives of countless fans and then heard in film and TV for generations, died Friday, January 10, 2025, at a Miami hospital, his wife Joyce Moore said. Moore, who was born in Miami’s Overtown neighborhood on Oct. 12, 1935, was 89.
Great music from a dynamic duo. I saw Sam & Dave in concert back in 1986 - 87 , about a year before Dave passed away. They were phenomenal. So much energy. RIP Dave Prater.
Jeez, what s dynamic duo, only Tom Jones or Elvis in top shape would exude more power. Make ya wonder why you hardly ever see this kind of duet singing in male duo's. Men afraid they'd be seen as gay, or something ?
The phenomenal Booker T and The MGs. Booker T Jones, Steve The Colonel" Cropper, Donald "Duck" Dunn, and Al Jackson Jr.

In the evening she's my cup of tea... what a fun performance. Look at those dance moves. And the breakdown with that bass line!
