@@yogaqueen1527 There was only one rated pilot onboard… this is a classic loss of control in IMC due to autopilot failure and pilots inability to maintain control while suffering from spatial disorientation… the private pilot instrument rated pilot and owner of the aircraft wasn’t able to hand-fly in the clouds with weather and as a result lost control… it’s sad, but preventable with instrument proficiency.

But, as the scanner traffic continued (closer to 2:00 pm), there was a man that witnessed it crashing and he ‘believed’ it was already on fire BEFORE the crash. Since they were only about 30 miles from the Gillette airport, it appears the pilot was trying to get there (in my opinion). It’s just sad no matter what the cause was. Couldn’t have been more scary for all onboard.
