Shame on Peter’s father. He was a grown man, he knew that he forced his young wife’s hand during a time of absolute trauma. How dare he not contact her when her son was on his own at 14 years old. Probably your typical, Cracker Jack box narcissist. I hope Peter can find some peace now.
Not to mention she was 16 or 17 when he got her pregnant as a 27-28 year old man!
Was said she puts everyone ELSE ahead of herself. VERY Typical for spouses of Alcoholics. There IS help, life will be better Once IN Program..
That horrible excuse of a man. Tears a mother and child apart, only to toss his child away because his new partner doesnt like him. So disgusting. I really hope the mother and son lives a better and happier life together now.
Poor Peter, what an awful upbringing he had. You can see the hurt radiate from him. He’s a very good man welcoming his mother back into his life. I hope that he finds peace and that no one in his family will hurt him or ever let him down again

I wonder why she didn't go back to look for him earlier?
@@8656737s I wonder the same thing.
@@wendyannh I wouldn't want my son to stay with a bad father. Maybe she felt guilty or she didn't have the money? I wouldn't be able to live with myself.
Sue Doyle yes, exactly. ❤️👵
I was so moved that Peter went to visit his baby sister’s grave. That shows his devotion to his family, even though they were not there for him💜
I noted that as well. Character is so important. He has character to do that
Me too it made me cry, what a loving brother!!!peter you are such an inspiring,!!!
Right! 😪think about how bad his mom wanted him when he was 14. Dad should have contacted mom when he found a new woman
I hope that there is some type of counselling for all of them. Peter definitely needs emotional support as well as much love. ❤ 😍 💖
He's so sweet, his nervous chuckle says hurt and fear and longing for what he has in front of him..I hope she loves him forever.❤️👍🏼
Peter’s pain is so visible through his body language. I hope he can learn to love and be loved.
Hello my beautiful friend, how are you doing 🌹😊
My oldest son was just turning two when his father disappeared with him. No, I was not the most stable person at that time. However, I was not a danger to my child and he broke federal laws when he crossed over state lines and kept my child hidden from me for the next ten years. When we were "allowed" to see each other again, my son was petrified due to raise things he'd been told. After about a year, my son asked me to not be in his life. Devastating as here I was losing him again. FFW. My son is now closer to 40 and the damage done to him by what I now know were many years of abuse, emotional and physical, is extremely difficult to see. As I watched Peter's pain show in his eyes and his face, this mother's heart was crushed for him and his mother. I hope healing came to all of them.
Who is Marcus Diego, pls don’t reply
Oh my god I’m crying, what an awful man his father was to not send him back to his mum age 14. Thankfully they’ve found each other 🥲
Hi Chris, how are you doing?
Emiko is a very beautiful girl ❤️ Fair play to her Mum, she’d only nice things to say about Emiko’s dad which helped and made it easier for everyone to start building a good relationship
She looks just like her father
I agree, but it's probably because he's a nice guy 🤷🏾♀️
It's so sad that when Dad decided his new wife was most important, he didn't track down the ex and return the son he stole.
He didn't steal the son. You can't steal your own son. He got custody of his son through a legal manner
Custody doesn't mean complete custody and alienating the other parent.
@@michaelmichael8314 He skipped town to steal.

This guy has hurt all over him. I feel for him.
Peter is so hurt by the past. You can feel it!...... I am glad his mother found him.
Ii love the last one too. Happy for her and her Dad.....and Mom😊😊😊
I don't know how people lose contact with these children. It hurts my soul.
Given my own upbringing and a very happy ending we just received after 20 plus years of doubt and wonder, sometimes you just think why?!? It's so unfair to these kids. 🤔💔
I agree & his "birth mother" acts as the last 28 years are forgotten by her son Peter. Clearly, they are not! I hope the two of them will sit & talk honestly & openly.
@@BrookeMcLymond there are a LOT of reason someone may lose contact. Especially if the other parent does things to make sure they cannot find the child.
i can completely understand what Peter's mother went through - she was only 17 with a baby in a foreign country, in a small town where she had no family or friends - married to an older man (11 years difference at that age is enormous) - then her marriage breaks up, she's told she can't take her son with her and she's pregnant, then her daughter dies. She must have been an emotional and psychological wreck. Peter has also suffered unnecessarily, first the loss of his mother then being deserted by his father - hopefully these two very damaged individuals can find the strength to heal each other.
Trust me mate that's really hurtful
Perfectly worded. 💚
The poor woman was hardly more than a child herself, I can't imagine what she must've gone through mentally
So sad that his dad forced his mother to give him custody only to dump him for a new woman. Sickening. Poor guy.
Okkkiij
She was so upset to hear that Peter had been on his own since 14. Her reaction won me over. Then her husband's reaction made me realize how great they are as a family. Her 1st husband was awful.
I understand Peters apprehension. You can't bear to be rejected again so you put up walls. I hope now that they have reconnected, it will all go good.
This poor man has had so much pain. I am so glad he decided to see her
OMG! Watching that young man...hearing that nervous little laugh that he couldn't suppress....I hope that he is smothered in love by his newly found family and is never alone again....💚💙💔💜💗💖
It's unforgivable that parents would abandon their child for their partners !
Its really not that uncommon, ive seen it happen time and time again, and dealt with it myself at a very young age, and by both parents..
The Australian lady and her husband are such wonderful and loving people as are Peter and the girls. How very beautiful that they are all together. Thank you for this touching story with such a beautiful new beginning for them.
Peter, really wanted a family to love him and visiting his little sister’s resting place, was the closest that family was to him. Very emotional 😭
Hi Faye, how are you doing?
My heart breaks for Peter. His father is an absolute piece of garbage! It's infuriating. He was a child! It's no wonder he feels so nervous and has his walls so high. I hope that being with his mom, sisters, and step dad will help him feel some healing from all the trauma.
Also, Emiko's dad was extremely handsome as a young man! Dang.

#Judy, I agree, people making baseless negative comments haven't lived or experienced much....yet very judgemental
i have been. i didn't leave. unless she was being beaten, loneliness is not an excuse. didn't even speak the language. actual different culture, not Australia to nz.

The son would understand, he's left his own son back in New Zealand with his partner
@@smallbeginning2 well you wasn't her, your life wasn't hers, not similar at all. People have different lifes, different survival skills, different ways of copying and adjusting to things. You managed to do what you did, Peters mom did not, sounded to me like she was alone, with noone to help her, and her ex-husband was much older and more experienced and could affoard a lawyer, wich she apparently couldn't. She didn't have the power to stay and fight and maybe she was not mature enough back then.

Initially I found it a bit odd when Peter's mother went to put flowers on his sister's grave, and there were still almost fresh recently put flowers in place, that made a lot more sense when he said he knew he had a sister, and he probably was the only one giving some respect to her grave all this time.

New here: needed to get my Kleenex. So sad about Peter I hope he will never be let down again found a loving family with his beautiful mom and sisters and the mom's husband. Lovely Emiko learning the language and culture along with her boyfriend sure impressed her handsome father, I had tears of joy for her mom as well.
So sad and angry for that man, he deserved so much more from the individual who insisted on taking custody of him. Desertion of a minor like that is criminal.
I agree i cant believe any patent could do that. And then not contacing the min and giving them a chance to reunite that I cruel beyond anything. Poor boy. But even though he doesn't remember much of his mom I'm sure the memory of her love is in his heart and that is what helped him through and kept him from shutting down emotionally. The fact that he visited his sisters grave says a lot about loneliness and longing but also that he feel the bond to his mom and seek her that way. I wish them a lifetime to make up for it...full of love
They both deserted him.

@justsomeone689 "I left my little boy with his dad 28 years ago..." Virtually the start of the video. Married many, many times.
Had daughters she did not abandon. Claims to have never excluded him lol! Yet 3 decades later only returns.
Question. Was every one of her marriages allegedly abusive? She deserted her son and then claims she was forced to sign away her son. So easy to believe her right? Listen and believe is the motto of this day and age.
@@hazelhadley-britt6396 now that you say it, there could be another possibility, perhaps that she did abandon her son, and came back. But I suppose I'll leave this matter now🤷♀️

What touching story about Ariana, her daughter Emiko and the reunion with the biological father .Emiko's boyfriend is so supportive and such a great loving man. God bless them all 🙏❤️ and restore them.
Found my biological parents in 2020. I love seein these reunions no matter where on this planet they take place.
Peter’s story is the most touching of all the stories I’ve seen and I’ve seen a lot! From personal experience and working within the field, I never cease to get mind blown how parents keep their children away the other parent. Fending for himself from age 14 and turned out to be such a beautiful person -the fence he has built is as obvious as that he’s actually a warm and sensitive person- shows his intelligence and I will be very surprised if he does anything but excellent in life ⭐️😎💙❤️
He hesitated when asked whether he wanted to see his mother, but it's so nice to see he warmed up and was so happy to see his mother and family.
These stories are always so heartwarming but at the same time so sad. Emiko's mother and her birth father would probably have made a wonderful marriage together if it wasn't for so many cultural taboos. It's clear that Toshi thought about Emiko a lot over the years, keeping all the letters she had sent and the baby photos that her mother had sent. It's so sad that they missed out on those early years together, but hopefully they can make up for lost time now even though they live a world apart. I was very impressed with Ariana and Sara - there could have been bad hearts between them, both of them having a child of Toshi's, but instead they were both instrumental in encouraging Toshi and Emiko to meet. I love it when the single mother of a love-child maintains her good thoughts of the birth father and doesn't let the child grow up hearing terrible things said about him.
This is an amazing episode! Loved that Peter and Emiko got to reunite with their respective parent. Felt particularly horrified that Peter had to raise himself since 14! I would give him a big hug myself!
I've just experienced that in the last month my 45-year-old daughter that I never seen has gotten contact with me and my daughter that I raised and we are now a full family. I'm so happy for Peter finding his family and mom and son being back together I pray that they will continue to be together.
Congratulations on finding your daughter x
@@cathiebell8335 thank you
Must protect Pete at all costs! But I really hope his mom doesn't hurt him and I think some good therapy would be really good for him. I wish him all the best.
It's also that Pete allows himself to be part of a family, which sometimes come with normal hiccups & bumps. People that have been abandoned by family tend to have a shorter fuse for any discomfort & bail easily.
@@LAVirgo67 Degenerate behaviour is no hiccup & bump!
It brought me to tears that Leah and her son went through so much suffering because of his father's parental alienation. Yet they managed to hold onto their huge hearts! I can imagine how horrifying it must have been for Leah and Peter. Parental alienation is far reaching and has devastating consequences. My heart was touched that they reunited and have a chance to heal. Peter is forgiving, brave and strong and so is his mother. Sending prayers to anyone who is suffering the nightmare of parental alienation.
What a nice son and a great charming young man!
I’ve watched so many of these shows but this is the first one where I have cried. So happy that he finally has family who will love him unconditionally.

Peter is exactly me when you didnt have love when growing up. I didn't wish to anyone to be abandone their parents.
Peter has a real family. So happy for him
Hello my beautiful friend, how are you doing 😊
Peter must be one of the saddest lost found story I seen. I understand his mother was young, but she abandoned him and didn't look back. Then his father just abandoned him. If his mother had maintained some contact, she could picked up the pieces in his teenage years.
Just because the father got custody she could’ve went back and had visits with them and checked on him
@@lisagast4616 That was not possible. His father was a total bully and control freak. Mom was pregnant with Peter's sister and living in poverty. Her baby daughter died at 4 months. Mom had to scratch a living until she met her 2nd husband. Peter's father abandoned him, when he was14, because dad had met a new woman who didn't want Peter. Don't judge the mom negatively. It's not fair.
This is so sad!!! This guy brought himself up. I hope she does not let him down again. 😢
Easy to judge.
Possibly the father changed his location, remember communication at that time is not as easy as nowadays

The parents deserve to be judged
This is fantastic! Bless this young man, he has been through so much. Raised himself and grown to be such a wonderful man. I’m sure his mom feels so guilty, so hurt inside that she didn’t raise him. I have a son Sean who I did raise and I love him with all my heart! Even though I raised him the best I could, I was a good mom to him...I don’t ever hear the words I love you. I never get hugs nor does he ever say he loves me. I would give anything to get a hug from him! How beautiful it must be to hold the child you gave birth too. I wish this family the best always!
What a long wait for both and I'm so happy for the whole family. Have a great life Peter you deserve the best your a good guy and you'll have a great family now. All the best.

Wow, Wow and Wow.. I can totally relate to Peter's apprehension at the beginning. It is tough to all of the sudden have a family who cares after all years past alone. I am extremely happy they are all together again. Bless them! Aussies don't show a lot of emotion.
I know how he feels. My mother abandoned her 4 children (aged from 9 to 6 weeks old.) I was 3 and never saw her again because she died in an accident 4 weeks before our reunion was to happen. My life was very much like that of Peter's. You build defences up so you never get hurt again...if your mother doesn't want you, who does?
Jesus Christ wants you, He wants your heart and He loves you!
Psalms 27:10
"if your mother doesn't want you, who does"
You know as well as I do that that's irrational thinking. You know that this has everything to do with problems your mother was having and not you. Becoming a parent doesn't make an adult's problems go away and it certainly doesn't make them perfect or saintly and it doesn't make the things that life throws at them any easier for them to deal with. You won't be able to move on until you understand things for what they objectively are and stop blaming yourself.
@@innadifort2439 I am glad someone else mentioned Jesus.
We need to pray fervently that (what's her name?) Emiko? that she will find Jesus; she prayed to ancestors. That is always first thing I think about. Shinto is false religion. Jesus did say, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me. John 14:6. NASB

What a shame for a father to take Peter from his mom.
We aren't given the whole story. Leanne said that the child Natalie that died, had olive skin. Um...Peter's dad didn't have olive skin. And she did not say who was the father of Natalie. It sounds like Peter's dad was furious when he found out that Leanne was with someone and he threw her out because of that. I do think that he was pretty scummy not to continue to be a father though.
@@goconnor0304 she has olive skin, that skin tone could have come from her side of the family
Have you heard his father speak about what happened? One sided takes on things does not make it the truth. Peter was abandoned by both parents but his father did raise him for 14 years and he does not seem like a bad adult so he did something right. Yet he did abandon him just as his mother did.
