I loved what Tiwai said at the cemetery, “I’ve returned today, to bring the spirit of my great great grandfather.. To lay amongst his Irish ancestors..” oh, my heart.♥️ beautiful story and reunion with his relatives.
Taiwi is a True Clare man . I love the way he went to the grave yard. Have to say your traditions of honouring your ancestors is great. From an Irish woman
As I watched this series, I was in tears seeing how Tiwai got connected to the spirit of his forefathers and said goodbye. I did not realize how strong the Maori culture is. Not just in rugby! The sisters story is so moving! so well presented
The Maori culture is very strong. If you mess with one, you are messing with them all. But they are also a caring culture. They can be either your best friend or your worst enemy but only if you brought it on to yourself.

Every story with David Lomas touches my soul. Found my mom this summer & my three half siblings. When my mom & I hugged it filled me up to the brim. It was exactly what these long lost ones feel when they hug. Beautiful, just beautiful life.
I'm so fascinated about the different reactions of all those human beeings who are finally united by one and the same intention to find someone beloved. Each time it's overwhelming me and my tears are running down and in the mean time I feel so beeing alive, because this is what it takes , to have emotions. Today I was too much impressed by this spiritual gentleman who grew up in New Zealand and looked for his relatives from Ireland. It touched me deeply inside , how he visited them in the graveyard with so much respect and inner relationship towards them and which kind of ceremony he did standing at their graves. Today I learned a lot about maorian culture , my respect 🙏🏽❣

A coincidence I share with the young woman who was looking for her father....the otherside of the world....when trying t find my biological father... all I get is 'hits' about a well known singer....n can't get any further! I'm in my 60's now...n time running out.
Some women steal the kids from the dad. My dad's ex was all fine and good until my brother was born looking identical to my dad's youngest with the ex. The problem was her other son who clearly wasn't my dad's kid looked nothing like them. Instead of admitting she cheated and passed of another man's kid, she just took them and dissapeared. I found them 30 years later. They still don't know one isn't really a brother.

Absolutely wonderful reaction from Tiwai's relatives in Ireland, loved it when the lady said oh would love to go over and meet him...warm people and loved Tiwa's song to Ireland
I too have Irish in my not too distant family tree. My grandfather emigrated from Ireland in the early 1910s. I remember him as a young kid with wire rim spectacles and sitting in his lap. He worked in the shipyards his whole life. When he died I clearly remember being upset because he was the first close relative to pass and I was old enough to grasp the concept of death.
David is an amazing person and he has given so much back to all these people who are searching for their loved ones. Thank you David for the blessings of a New chapter in there life.
I have been to this small place in Ireland 🇮🇪 so secluded your lucky to have found what you did. Blessings to you and all your family in the future. ENGLAND UK
I am glad David found his sister's and I hope this will bring them close again. I found that story the most fascinating because of my own family fracturing as I look back at family photos of us before we fractured we always lined up in family photos in the same way we fractured. Twice when the sisters lined up the one stood a little apart from the other 3. The strange thing is as I look at my family photos we didn't stand in one group pitted against the other. 2 of us stood a little separated from the others because we felt excluded. When the fracturing happened we were the 2 left out.
It’s heartbreaking how many children’s lives have had traumas, abandonment issues due to self centered “parents” that leave their children in the dust! That to me is a very low, heartless person The pain runs so deep in these adults, young or old after decades of knowing their so called “parent” abandoned them 😢
I wish someone could have helped my dad find out what happened to his mother who was from Lancashire, who went off the radar in 1932 when he was 9 years old. She came to visit him in a boys home in Melbourne and told him she'd see him in 6 months time. He never saw her again in his life. He died when he was 81.
Such strange people.... they have no idea what they're doing to their children. Maybe she passed away within those 6 months....anything is possible - but to not leave ANY contact Info is very unfortunate.
These shows blood is always thicker than water! And for those who spent time looking for their lost loved ones be blessed and enjoy the journey. Glad to see that Tiwai found his Irish side. Not so easy to connect or reconnect with family you never knew. Genealogy and family ancestry research can be so exciting. One of my coworkers from the United States took a trip to Ireland (his ancestral homeland from a few generations back). While in Ireland, he got drunk in a bar and said offensive things and jokingly tried to imitate the stereotypical Irishman (something he learned in American culture). The Irish people didn't tolerate it. They ran him out of the bar and accused him of being a stereotypical arrogant American. He took his ignorance and returned to the US regretting his trip.
@@ellieantar809 We see so many weird stereotypes on TV about people from nonWestern cultures and in the past the media has socialized us into believe it. This is why I love RUclips.
