I recently took a day trip to ride roller coasters in Minnesota, and because I have no life, I've decided to rank all of the roller coasters in the state. Please enjoy my ramblings.
I’ve lived in Minnesota since 1991, and have been on Excalibur more times than I can count. That area of the park floods in wet years, which accounts for it being closed.
It’s an intense, rough, short ride. Thank god it doesn’t have ots restraints. The more I rode it, the less I liked it. It became a 1-and-done for me. Halfway through the nineties they added a trim brake on the first drop, which lessened the intensity but not the roughness.
It’s an odd coaster, and I personally wouldn’t have ranked it as high.
Also, the Wild Thing trimming happened during its second season. During the first season, the bunnies at the end completely made up for its weaknesses. I really miss that.
your beef with steel venom sounds alot like my beef with wildcats revenge, i hate that coaster for the same reason

Pressing question...Do you assume that Excalibur, based on the mere layout surpasses Gemini? Do you really believe that?
Don't get me wrong, Excalibur has a certain allure about it and an identity which separates it from Gemini. Gemini offers a different experience( when the coasters are dueling of course).
If someone who rode both coasters said that they like Excalibur more than Gemini
I welcome that opinion, and am more than curious to find out why.
I myself have only ridden Gemini but I welcome a coaster by arrow which offers a profiling akin to the Gemini so I can compare the 2.

Thank you! They’re very similar models but with different layouts, the only true cloned ride is Avatar, which is the same as Timmy’s Half-Pipe Havoc
Orange streak better than Mad Mouse and more chill than High Roller for me. Love it's route. Also how is Airbender a coaster but northern lights isn't? Corkscrew looks fantastic it's in a prominent part of the park.
Disk’O models like Northern Lights are a point of contention for a lot of people as to whether they’re coasters, but as far as I know, their manufacturer does not call them roller coasters. Also Orange Streak is great! There really aren’t any “bad” coasters in Minnesota which is awesome
