I fucking love Yae's English voice. I wasn't sure about it when I first heard her during the Domon quest because I was used to Sakura Ayane, but I could still tell that they went for the "calm, bewitching fox demon who's on top of everyone else" archetype and could very much feel Yae is someone you don't want to mess with. Then this trailer dropped and the moment she said "Repeat after me" I was sold. And then the way she just appears out of nowhere and whispers to the Traveler in the Shogun's domain just sends chills down the spine. She sounds so manipulative and sinister and what makes that even better is that she looks to be at least mainly good-aligned. I love it so much, and her priority shot up higher than that of Raiden Shogun or Kokomi even though I have no idea when she'll be playable.

I actually really love her Chinese voice. Her English voice always sounded suspicious to me (I still love it) and gives me vibes that she has a big, detrimental secret to hide, where as the CN voice doesn’t do that. Idk. During the whole story I thought she was 100% working with the fatui or something. I still think she’s hiding something big and bad, but I’m not as sure now bc of the ending and also hearing the other voices. I think it’s just the way the English VA played it (she did a great job, not saying it’s bad AT ALL). Am I the only one who sorta felt suspicious of her?

As Japanese, I'm surprised that JP ver Miko speaks like Hancock.✨ She calls herself Warawa(I, the first pronoun) and her sentence-ending particle is "~ja." Her way of speaking is antique, elegant, at the same time very mysterious. It makes me feel that she is not human. (P.S. I LOVE all voices.💓)

The original script (Chinese) has Yae count "321 123 aah aah" with a hint of humor (reason being the "aah aah" sounded like a tone/mic check, which is funny for her to add in because she sounded completely normal in tone). The English changed the "ahh ahh" into just Yae breathing, which was definitely not the case (English lost the whole humor). And the JP seems like she was just fooling around because she said "repeat after me. 'AAHHMM.' hey hurry up" which ended up making her appear more silly/exaggerated than intended. it is probably as the other commenter said regarding the phrase being longer in japanese. notice how in chinese, english, and korean, it takes approx 1 second to say "repeat after me", but the archaic manner of speech Yae uses in Japanese takes 3-4 seconds to say "repeat after me". I believe they were forced to dump the "321 123" and thereby was forced to change the feel. it made her seem too playful and fooling around because "AAHHMM" is a bit ridiculous to make someone say. A Japanese player might actually get confused and get a silly impression. As usual, with the script, the Chinese is the original intended meaning. Yae's personality in the scene is supposed to appear perfectly normal in tone, but weird in content because she literally included "ah ah". so, she sounds normal, started off normal, but added in something strange at the end. this was her subtle humor. in this sense, the Korean portrayed the meaning the closest for this scene. Players who didn't watch all 4 voices would probably have a slightly off perspective on Yae's personality. Usually CN and JP are the best in accuracy, but there are sometimes things like these unfortunately.
They’re all very good! I think I like the Chinese, Korean and English one’s more for the calm vibe? I find Japanese to be too flirty for my preferences. Yae Miko just seems like a very calm and collective person to me.
