Yet another RUclips motor maker who doesn't understand magnetic flux. Output torque is proportional to magnetic flux, not directly on the strength of the magnet. Magnetic flux has a hard time getting through air, it passes through iron 1000 time easier. This is why motors have so much steel in them ! So... you have to provide an iron path for the flux to get from one side of the magnet through the coil to the other side. Please do not claim your motor is "powerful" until you do this and until you prove it with a proper dynamometer. Motor power is measured in shaft output so yours has effectively zero output - only enough to overcome air resistance in order to spin. By all means make money by selling it as a kit but claim only that it is a demonstration (abeit not a good one) of motor operation. Any greater claim is false advertising.
I think it's a nice demonstration of an axial flux motor, sure it's nowhere near useable for production but I don't think that was the point of the video
Most universal motors can reach 10,000 RPM without any problem. My dremel has settings upto 30,000 RPM. Motors for gas centrifuges run close to 100,000 RPM.

There are many motors for electric bikes with a power of 3 or more kilowatts, with a rotor of several dozen powerful neodymium magnets that you can hardly tear off a metal table without a device! This rotary with neodymium magnets is rotated by a three-pole stator with currents of several tens of amperes! Isn't this a bldc pan cake motor. There's Agni making real good brushed pancake motors but are prohibitively expensive. Most pancake shaped motors in the ev market are simply bldc out-runners. What is the circuit switching the coils, is it a hall effect sensor flipping coil polarity here? The link in the description did not work. You have a concept here, now make it work with a single power source and a bldc controller. Imagine someday, if people could swap a single burnt coil out of motor and replace it instead of changing the entire winding. That would be a great aviation motor. Serviceable and a more rpm than torque motor. I wish there was a controller that could connect the individual coils to make a Delta or Wye config electronically. Get each of the coil wires out, and use a serial Bus connector. This is what EV makers are looking for; to complicate the simple motor. All they're asking for, is time to make the electric car complicated and not be serviceable by mere mortals.

It is nice but the parts tolerance are terrible. Everything is wobbly. Wish it was made from machined aluminum for more precision. That noise it makes, gives it a cheap quality feel to the kit. Acrylic also cracks in time and warps.
It seems to be designed for AMUSEMENT ONLY. As a simple brushless DC motor with the correct specs can achieve this. Simply buy a Dremel with 35K RPM for $40.
