I remember when people said that Chase was obviously the star of the show and Jefferson only succeeded against CB2s… The gap between Nabers and Thomas is minimal, Nabers has better YAC and route versatility, but Thomas is a more freakish athlete with one of the rarest combinations of speed, length, and change of direction I can remember. Imagine if a guy like MVS could make cuts like Thomas.
Thomas has high potential but the gap is definitely more than minimal. Nabers would be WR1 on most years, can't say that Thomas would even be a top-20 guy in a lot of classes.
@@praetorian1rsbthe qb is getting him the ball. He’s just not as open as he was in college. Being big and strong won’t take you far when everyone in the league is big and strong
Bro you’re after the catch analysis is way off!! This dude is so elusive in how he spins away from defenders that may be on him at point of reception. I’ve watched him for years, and have seen him do it over and over again. He’s as special as any receiver in this draft, and will be an nfl star ⭐️!
I often wonder about the people making these evaluations. My first question is, have they ever played a single down of organized football? Have they ever played the position they're evaluating? I mean it's all speculative at best.
He's got elite size, speed, and quickness (especially for his size). He's also a solid route runner with good hands and YAC. No glaring weaknesses with enormous upside. Arguably more upside than anyone in this class. He's going to go a lot higher than people think. Wouldn't be surprised if he goes top-10, potentially even over Odunze.
@@SplitSauce2289 could be from burning his defender and making easy open catches. That stat doesn’t disprove my point given the context. He does basket catch and that’s poor technique - something to improve upon.
Thomas or Franklin mid 2 ? Franklin gets the tag of "technically sound" but I wasn't impressed with his routes either, he drifts upfield on in cuts, and body catches a lot
Im praying the Colts dtaft him. They need a wr2. AR plus Taylor, Downs, Pittman, and Brian Thomas in Steichans system sounds like it has some potential. Thomas is my wr4, and i think he will go a lot higher than people think.

No way he gets out of the 1st round if he does then he will pair back up with Jayden Daniels in NE. I actually see the Patriots possibly trading back into the first round to get him so they fill their two biggest needs quarterback and wide receiver.
I don't know who this guy is that is doing all of the talking, but you don't know what you are talking about. Brian Thomas Jr is 6'4" and has 4.4 speed he Won't make it out of the 1 round
My grade isn't a prediction, I'm betting he'll go in the first on draft night. Just saying he isn't worth that in my eyes, there's more to consider beyond just size and speed

@FallBallSports what? You are smoking crack
a future Jaguar
Great breakdown! Thanks.
You know who else was very limited in college? DK Metcalf
He’s also limited in the NFL
@@WhopperWhopperWhopper247 If the QB can't get him the ball, is it his fault?

Bro ya he does all the small things right hes natural with that work. I agree hes special.
Agreed. His YAC is one of the strengths of his game.
Great work again 👍🏼
Thanks man! Appreciate you tuning in and showing some love
2nd round Grade is nasty work. Bro what are you doing?
Yup.. 7 wr’s taken in the first… this prediction had no chance.

As a Steelers fan Brian Thomas Jr is a excellent awesome receiver like for real for real i want this guy
Yeah he'd help that offense out big time!

Big concern with the contested catches is basket catching, doesn’t often extend and hands catch like you want to see
Not really considering he had the third best catch rate in the nation.

The group at possible wr4 is getting pretty large.
Yeah it is. Him, Franklin, Legette, and Coleman are all in contention for it
Needs to go to Texans at 23
😂
Yes he is
I really think whoever is WR 4 will go to Buffalo at 28.
At 28 you will get the 7th or 8th receiver. But with this class that guy is probably still insanely good.
I agree. I think he's the best receiver behind MHJ and Nabors.
I'd still take Odunze at WR3, but he's in the running for WR4 for me at the moment!
The SEC is weaker competition?
No, but playing the CB2 or 3 on a given team is weaker than playing the CB1. Nabers opened things up for him
Bryant
Ravens!!!
