I started drinking a cup of pomegranate juice every day. Studies have shown the juice will dissolve plaque buildup in the arteries. After 2 months of drinking the juice, I stopped having chest pains. 7 months now, and still no chest pains. I also changed my diet to mostly fruits and vegetables.
Thanks, but how much did you drink a day?
amazing!! do you juice yourself or is there a brand you like? tysm for sharing. congrats on your improved health!!
@@realrosesforever3847 8 ounces of juice a day. Simple Truth brand 100 percent Pomegranate juice from Krogers.
Glad to hear u changed your diet as well. I love the the juice. Think I will go buy some😂
No smoking, get enough sleep, moderate/ high intensity exercise for 300 min or so, watch the saturated fats and salt.
Thank you, Dr. Williams, for risking your reputation in your community to speak the truth. We need more brave, educated doctors like you! 💖

Thank you, Dr. Williams, for taking the time to stay on top of the published evidence based, peer reviewed literature and then going to the trouble of bringing this information to the international public.
All good thanks
I'm born and raised in Louisville Kentucky and I'm so happy Dr. Kim is here !
This is my first time hearing Dr. Kim Allan Williams Sr. He is AMAZING!!! Wish he could be my personal doctor. Learned from this video.
I am 83 years old and never a smoker and not a drinker. This is my first time seeing dr. Williams. Chuck thanks for allowing all these great doctors on your show. My problem is i don’t sleep good at night. Most nights I only get 5 hours I seldom get 6 hours. I just started on a plant based diet. I was a vegetarian for 15 years but fell off by preparing meals for my family. I am on my grandson U Tube. My name is Monica. I am taking blood pressure meds and have been taking it for years.
Not fun not sleeping well, but try not to stress about it. There is nothing like being in bed and worrying about not sleeping to keep you awake.
You are in 80s. This is norm. I am 43 and i have been sleeping 5 hours due to insomnia since 20 years.
Ana I totally agree with you! I think my problem is I am thinking about things that going on in my family that I have no control over because it’s not mine to fix but I just can’t break that habit. I have tried all kinds of teas to see if it would help me to relax but it doesn’t work, in my situation I decide to stop worrying the amount of sleep I get and give thanks 🙏 to my creator. Be blessed Ana everything will work out in due time. M G
@@jordonbaker5576 What I do when I cannot sleep, I just read. At least it distracts me from not sleeping. Main thing is not to worry about it.
I’m loving having a narrower feeding window (just started that last week)-pls check out the interviews of author Steve Hendricks (The Oldest Cure In the World) and Dr John McDougall if you get a chance
Dr Kim Williams gives the clearest best advice, with the best explanations.
I just love how genuine he is!!! ❤ great interview
Thanks so much Chuck😇love the blue shirt👍👍and thanks to Dr.Williams for sharing his time and knowledge with us 🙏
Love listening to him. Thank you.
Always great to hear from Dr Williams, but as an exercise professional a small correction, isometric exercise is when your muscle doesn't change length - no lengthening or shortening - and it increases your blood pressure.
Such Good Information dr Kim which more people can change their eating and drinking habits, Thanks Chuck 😊
Another great episode, learned a few things in the process.
Loved the show Chuck! I would love for Dr Kim Williams to interview my great aunt Ruby Woods she’s around 90 years old or older. Lives in the heart of Appalachia Leslie County Kentucky. She had a heart attack over 20 years ago her doctor added stints and told her Ruby I want you to stop smoking and drinking alcohol. She said she walked out of the hospital and never smoked another cigarette and never drank another drop of alcohol. She is in excellent health normal weight eats chicken Cornish game hen and fish beans and cornbread. Vegetables and fruits they use to always have a big garden. She looks forward to going to town on Fridays for catfish hush puppies coleslaw and fries. Her mother a school teacher lived to be around 100 years old. Her great grandson is studying at university of Kentucky to be a Doctor specializing in cardiology. I wish he could connect with Dr Williams to be his mentor. I deeply appreciate what Dr Williams is doing to educate the Appalachian communities .
SALT: Roman soldiers were paid in salt. It was always used for preservation of meat and fish and for fermentation. I'm not convinced it's a bad thing if it's natural sea salt or pink salt.
🎯 💯 🙌🏾 💯 🎯
Sea salt and pink salt are just high priced salt with impurities. The issue, in any case, is not salt it is the sodium which is about 40% of salt (table, sea and pink). You are going to get just as much sodium with sea or pink salt as you are with ordinary table salt. All this stuff about sea and pink salts is just marketing hype.
it's not.fat is WAY worse. it is odd he said they were the same in terms of bad effects on the body. he is a reductionist with the studies he cites.
I am a thin person and I do not benefit from adding EVOO. It raises my lipid #'s.. I was on the fence about this because of varied studies on EVOO and do benefit by not adding oils.Rather , eating some whole olives during the week since they have fiber .
I realize that being thin means adding oil increases calories and helps to maintain weight however not all individuals respond favorably to extracted oils.
There's also avocado
yes! advising oils the way he has here is dangerous.
I thought research was showing that processed oils damaged the endothelial lining and we need to avoid all of them-EVOO included? Food tastes better without it anyway…. Am in Louisville and I’m delighted to learn that Dr Weber is here now!
You are so lucky to have Dr. Williams in your area !
Yes there are studies, Dr. Esselstyn , that indicate damage to the endothelium by using oils.
Certain cold pressed oils are not a problem, like EVO, avocado oil, coconut oil, algae oil, camelina oil, sacha inchi oil. Look at the diet of the centenarians in the blue zones. They use plenty of olive oil.
you're right. this guy is reductionist. the vast majority of research states it is dangerous for heart health. he is spread a very dangerous message and i am glad to see many more informed listeners/commenters pushing back against his terrible advice.
@@snowbird6855 Maybe they’d be even healthier w/o the processed oil? Just eat the olives….
@@user-cs1xz I don’t know if I’d agree that he’s a reductionist-but our Drs need to have faith in us-processed oils are not necessary or healthy (studies demonstrate this).
I am very happy to get this valuable information that no other doctor would give from their office. Than you dear doctors, it’s a pity I could not remember everything. Thanks, thanks, ♥️😄
Love Dr Kim Williams. I wish he would write a book. 😊
I work graveyard shift twice a week & 54 hours a week. I never seem to get to bed early, usually around 12-2am. Sometimes I only get 2-4 hours of sleep a night. I have palpitations. I do eat my vegetables and watch what I eat! Any suggestions on how I can get more sleep?
I personally would recommend adjusting your work schedule if possible.
Very interesting findings on the benefits of olive and avocado oil.
I'm still sceptical. This benefit is from a cardiology prospective only. But, any oil can increase other (non-cardiology) risks. For example, it increases inflammation thus increased the risk of autoimmune disease (among other things).
@@kathysharp7551 All refined products be they oils, sugars, and grains are detrimental to health. We are designed to eat whole plants, ie) olives, avocado, sugar cane, fruit, etc. Skins, husks, seeds and plant. Extracting sugars and oils in isolated form is asking for trouble.
@@presterjohn1697 I totally agree. That's why I love all the content provided by Chef AJ and her guests 💖😁 If you have other favorite channels on yt, please let me know a couple.
Olive and avocado oil aren’t inflammatory. Other common oils are - canola, sunflower.
@@debbY100 Dr. Brooke Goldner is an expert in treating autoimmune disease. She says stop all oils because they are inflamitory. She makes no exceptions. Instead get those beneficial chemicals from dark leafy greens. If we can get the same benefit from greens, I say skip the oils which have risks that greens do not. Plus greens have lots of other nutrients (nutrient dense, not calorically dense..the exact opposite of oils). Also, oils are a big contributor to excess calories which mess up everything in the body. I'm super far from perfect, but I definatley avoid cooking with oil, and I avoid adding oil to salads (ie no commercial. Salad dressings).
Dr Williams is fascinating!
So relieved to hear about the olive and canola oils for heart health…. We’ve recently gone from SOS vegans to SS vegans, but still have habit of not using oils like in salad and cooking….SO MUCH EASIER as most recipes usually include these oils. Curious to see if our LDL levels have go down…
We love this wise doctor
I have a question about the comments about sleep. What if the hormone imbalance is from menopause and not lack of sleep. The lack of sleep is a part of menopause. Getting up in the night is my new routine. Does the doctor have recommendations for if the hormones are out of wack?
They don’t talk about woman on menopause barely get no sleep like what can we do to fix this. I barely get no sleep Dr don’t want to give me anything for it or a solution. 🤦♀️
Thanks Chuck
great show today !!!
Eating healthy good supplements active no worries no bad habits no soda just eat only when hungry no snacks🇸🇽🇺🇸
I really enjoyed this episode but to be honest I was cringing when oils were being touted as beneficial for anyone even if they are thin, I think dr. Esselstyn and dr. McDougall may have a thing or two to say about that
same!!! absolutely horrible advice! NEVER have him on again! not even neal barnard recommends oils!
Thanks for your time
Is there a reason Dr. Kim avoids any mention of the dramatic rise in heart problems over the past 2 years?
I would guess it's stress and COVID related.
Did he avoid it? He was not directly asked this question, correct?
@@donnaellis2438 yeah people underestimate COVID because it doesn’t kill them (even tho it killed many people), but it can still do a number on you, on things you see and things you don’t, like cardiovascular health.
@@hugomarquez3189 The theory of covid causing heart problems was shown to be false. It's mRNA induced. Heart incidents skyrocketed in 2021 following the mandates.
@@donnaellis2438 2021 served as the largest increase in heart attacks of the past century. It's the big elephant in the room at this point. The medical industry is working overtime to normalize these events for the purpose of shielding Pharma and the US government from accountability.
I think people has to be educated on the big difference between simply olive oil versus Extra Virgin Olive oil. Bec it could be a business & commercial decision to cut on cost on the part of starbucks and decide to use just hot pressed olive oil.

thank you you are so so right but they dont talk about that or speak on that its a lot of fraud oils out there and its because of money money makes a lot of things fraud
But it's still an oil.
Don’t the studies he refers to not show olive oil lowering cholesterol, but that it just raises it less than animal fat? Does anyone know which study he’s referring to?
EDIT: The studies I have seen compare a group consuming only olive oil with a group consuming animal fat and then show that the olive oil group exhibits lower cholesterol levels. They don't seem to compare it to a person avoiding refiled oils. If anyone knows what study he refers to when he says that olive oil actually lowers cholesterol, I would love to read it.

A couple of years ago I read a great little book on natural healing called ‘My Physician, Myself’, written by an older man who cured himself of a number of maladies without medical intervention. It’s available on Amazon and well worth the read. You might also look into the work of Luigi Cornaro, a Venetian nobleman who lived to 102. Anyone interested maintaining healthy senior years should read this this book, and something by Cornaro. His books are very short but very pointed.

Some plant based doctors do not recommend oil of any kind. Has there been new studies showing oil is safe?
Are there reputable studies showing the predominance of evidence of polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats to be unsafe? Don't think there are. I thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Williams. I find him far more based on science than some others where it's more religion.
