Most men who are reaching out to me clearly don't READ my profile, they react to PHOTOS. I put a check-sentence in the end of my profile saying "will not respond to "hey" messages". Now guess how many men start their conversation with me with "hey"? )))
This. I put on my profile that non-smokers are a must. Guess how many smokers try to reach out to me?
What kind of pics do you have? I ask because I was told that since men are visual you want at least three. A casual or face shot a dress up, and a sporty/travel. They say leave bikini type pics out or you'll get the "Hey Guys" too often.
When you've never used any of these phrases and STILL couldn't get quality men reaching out...🙄🙄🙄

The quality men are not online,this is my conclusion. Quality men have no need for virtual interaction, they find someone in real life pretty fast, because there are tons of good women and they have plenty to choose from. I try my luck out there on dating apps like every 6 months, but I always end up deleting my profile in a week, because it's so boring. What's frightening is that I see the SAME faces over and over again, there are guys who have been creeping on those apps for YEARS. And even when I met someone who seemed promising, they ALWAYS went back on those apps and lied, even if we'd been dating for months and they said they wanted a serious relationship, even if I stopped using the app, as I considered I don't need it anymore, I met someone, right? The people you meet online will go back online. That's the issue, it's like an addiction.

One "No pics" guy sent me his name...I looked it up and found his wedding website. (We never went out, obviously) "No pics" may mean cheater, whether you're looking at men or women.

Can you do a video for a dating profile for someone who’s disabled. I’m in my mid 40s and was hit by a drunk driver 10 years ago breaking my neck, back, and all 4 extremities. Thank God I can still walk but I do have a limp and use a cane 85% of the time. I have a scooter also to get around because I can only walk about 25 ft a few times in a 3 hour span. How do I advertise myself with this issue?
Dating video or app should show who you are as a total package. All I just learned from your question is you're disabled and why. I have many disabled friends who are active, employed and interesting 🤔 I mean, do you have any interests, hobbies, goals? Etc. Include your positive story and give them reasons to meet all of you, not just your disability.
The guys use most of these lines too. The most annoying though is looking at my pics (always current) and then ask me questions that clearly show they haven't read my profile. What do I do for a living? What do I like to do for fun? Where am I from? Clearly you didn't even glance at my profile. The one question we women get that we HATE is..."So, tell me about yourself". Over and over and over. Leading to nothing. Read. My. Profile.
So I very recently decided to take myself out of the dating pool for a while. It's MUCH too frustrating. They're all wishy-washy and don't know what they want.

I started responding to those already answered questions by saying, "my profile says...".
Proof they don't read it... I've stated no guys with kids or wanting kids. And i still got messages from guys with kids, or their profile said they wanted them. When I would ask about that they'd say they really don't want them, but would be open if something happened. Like stop contradicting yourself.

I thought maybe that would mean someone who is already dead? I never mind baggage as long as people are aware of what it is and are working on eliminating it or downsizing it to something they can manage.

It does apply to men, too. Had someone recently say something like..." You can rest assured that I look exactly like my photo only older." The pic looked like it was from the 80s...Unreal.

I had a picture of me with my favorite sheep. Had a very rude guy tell me my profile looked fake because of my pic of me and Freckles. Whatever. She’s adorable and if you don’t like farming/ rural life then why hit up someone who literally says “I raise registered Katahdin sheep” in their profile just to insult them? Thank you Ryan!!!
I agree with most of these - the only one I disagree and use is a small note at the very bottom saying please swipe left if you have or want kids. The rest of my profile is focused on who I am, what I'm about, and what I want, in positive terms. However, I am never having kids and that is a huge dealbreaker on BOTH sides, so I think it is a good idea to make this clear up front. I absolutely will not date parents, and I am sterilised. Agree that saying "no losers, creeps etc" is pointless and off-putting, but for such a fundamental dealbreaker I actually think this really DOES save everyone time :)
I completely agree with that part on someone not wanting kids. I am able to disqualify those women easily. Makes it much easier. I wish everyone put yes or no on wanting kids

I have a guy friend that said he'll read the profile after he looks at the pictures. Well actually it goes
1. Pictures
2. Do they match the age range etc.
3. If they feel like it they will read the bio etc, if it's not too long.

While I don't ever have any "sexy' pics online, I feel tired of hearing how "sexy" I am. Yes, it's nice to be found attractive, but that's the last thing I'm thinking about when I create my profile. I also have an age range, which seems to get ignored. I'm going to be 52 and have less than zero interest in anyone under 40. My daughter is 32, so...yeah.

I'm in school and working full time and have a lot of land around my house that's like a jungle because I've been relearning how to walk (have a new ball joint with a titatium rod), though it would be nice to have some stronger arms about the place to help with the work.

Men also tend to scroll past your site if you are not their type ( body shape, race, hair color) or if you only have head shots since they are extremely visual creatures.
I was told a head shot, a glam/ night on the town shot, and a sporty/travel shot, but they say no lingerie or bikini shots unless you don't mind attracting men that are only going to focus on that.
@@Cantetinza17 that sounds about right. It seems it is fine to have a head shot but a full body shot should also be included. I know people who have married quality candidates online. I just have not had that kind of luck.

When I first set up my online dating profile last year on Match, my girlfriend actually told me (on purpose) NOT to write things that would sound negative!!! If she hadnt advised me on that, my profile may have ended up sounding more "negative".... But thank goodness, I'm not guilty of any of these in this video! OMG- these are ALL terrible & definitely turn-offs!!! 😲😲😲

Men profiles are just as bad if not worst. They lead with saltiness just as much and I read one where he was a wealthier OLDER guy that to sum it up want 18-25 didn't want them to basically think for the self or know their worth, and he wanted them to always be available to "service him" and he might take them on trips if they don't annoy him. I was like "Who the FROG does this guy think he is"?! The sad thing is that there are women out there that would respond to him.

I put some on mine, just regular ones. Not sexy ones. Because I really like to see regular full body shots of the guys as well. I kinda like to know what kind of shape they are in, as health is important to me. Not looking for perfection though.
I was told one face pic and the body shots should be a glam shot or something dressy or a sporty/travel picture. They say unless you want guys that are only attracted to your body then don't post lingerie or bikini pics

Some of this stuff should be common sense. Guys do the same thing though. My favorite is "I'm a lover of curvy women". As a curvy woman you contact them and they say no thanks. Oh I see, you are a lover of augmented women. They want the boob job, bbl, and tiny waist, not an actual curvy woman.
For me I just get passes because I'm heavy set. I get a lot of comments saying, "Your cute, but you should try losing weight" or some version of that. I'm not even that heavy.

I don't date anyone, I gave up dating a long time ago. But then again I grew up without a cellphone, computers, car seats and seatbelts. When I was growing up your friends set you up, or you just met people out and about. But with lockdowns I think that will be the end of people meeting in person instead of on screens.

As a guy, 💯 agree with Ryan's comments on this. He's on the money. I took my profile seriously and expected a possible date to do the same. Also, I made it a habit to just look at the main photo then look at the profile. Then if interests line up, look at the other photos. I had a non negotiable list, after a 30 year toxic relationship. I also went looking saying, if I can't find anyone, I'd rather be single and happy then in a relationship and compromise the non negotiables. Girls, no need to show the 'girls' off in your photos. We know you have them. Long term relationship is about substance. Quality men know who they are and what they want, especially as we get older. I'm 53. Top job Ryan.

I don’t want to hear about your ex boyfriends at all. New bullet point, if you’re looking for someone to fix you, I’m not your man. New bullet point; if you’re bringing any garbage from previous relationships swipe left and just go away. Such a total turn off! He needed to go.
