ULTIMATE SHORT TREK OF NEPAL |KATHMANDU VALLEY ft Wanderlust Himalaya Adventures

- Опубликовано: 7 сен 2024
- Trekking in Nepal. I wanted to squeeze in a short trek around Kathmandu. I did the Kopasi- Balthali- Namobuddha-Dhulikhel trek with Wanderlust Himalaya Adventures. It’s one of the best hikes near Kathmandu and it was such an awesome trekking day in Nepal. It is a popular two day trek around Kathmandu Valley. Our start is located 2 hours east of downtown Kathmandu. Our first day's goal ends in Dhulikhel.
I did a shout out to my good friend Nabaraj, who runs his own trekking and tour company. He gave me a customized tour so I could film the valley and village life- I love filming human stories. I wanted epic scenery but also wanted to see village culture and lifestyles. But this trek surpassed my wildest expectations and you’ll see why.
Trivia: initially Nabaraj sold me my very first trekking tour a decade ago when he was just 19 years old and worked for another company. I’m honored to be taking one of his Kathmandu trekking tours! My first trek was Bhaktapur to Nagarkot, which is another top trek around Kathmandu as well.

I'm afraid that's Nepal -Japan friendship highway not Nepal - China. ..
It's so inspiring how hard these women work without any complaints and just smile at life. I can barely do a squat
All I thought was- oh, my back.
GRRRLTRAVELER | Christine Kaaloa XD once when I was little and tried helping my mom I was crying because of the ant bites 😂😂
8bit Yong yes
Thank you so much for this video. I am aching to go back soon. I also like the cultural aspects of life in Nepal. When you see something for a brief moment in passing there is no understanding of the background or the reasons behind it. When you stop and take the time to investigate and take part then understanding and empathy happens. Love your videos. Keep on keeping on.
😘😘 enjoyed you planting the rice......and your face crossing the bridge , Men are the clever ones relaxing in the bars...lol
It's a nice change from all those male dominated countries where all you see are hoards of men and the women are hidden away.
No bar in village.its typical for women to that kind work in Nepal like planting seed, carrying grass for cattle.
+David Gurung Maybe not bars, but I've certainly seen them lounging in the shaded areas amongst themselves while the women work in the hot sun. 😜
+Englishman in Malta . LOVED planting the rice, although it took me a while to take to the idea. lol . The bridge would give anyone the willies.
You've got a polnt +Curious Nomad. Quite the opposite over the borders
Hi from Prague. You're in KATHMANDU!!! Yippee for yooouuuu!
I love watching your Nepal videos and seeing that not all is as we're led to believe. Between the incredible scenery and the lovely people I always end up with a big goober grin. Thank you! :)

Beauty of nepal ❤️❤️ definitely need to visit this places as I never been there.
welcome back Nepal again Mam..
i have watched most of your videos. They are awesome. Wish you have a good time in Nepal.
I love the jab at gender inequality in Nepal. As a Nepali-American, we all know that human rights and gender equality are still a long way from perfect in Nepal. Love your videos Christine!
+Pratik Nyaupane It's interesting to see so much physically laborious jobs for women in Nepal! And yet, no country is perfect. Gender inequality swings in the opposite direction when you cross over to other countries- where men are in ALL the jobs or countries like the US where inequality is in subcontext and between the lines.
Men don’t stay at home..most men in the family are working abroad or in the city, or in the office... so the house work and farming is done mostly by the women.
Great Guide !
Yes, I'm stoked I finally got to take a trek with him! =D

You could be an excellent host for Globetrekker or a guide for Lonely Planet. You'd bring them some fresh ideas too.
Awww, I used to love Globetrekker and wanted to be a host for them a long time ago- Ian Wright was the bestest host =D
That’s what I was saying to Christine during the livestream.Christine is an ideal host for travel show as she has nice personality, respectful to others, photogenic, adventurous, articulate, bubbly.
U should give a shot work on telly Christine.u are confident, well spoken, well travelled, beautiful, face made for telly with great personality.if u get older I think lesser chance work on telly.
I like how you planted some rice with theses wonderful hardworking women who never complain but have beautiful smiles and continue their hard work. I would never be able to do such difficult work because of my knees and low back pain. I applaud these women and you also for willing to participate with them as you made them very happy this day. May God keep giving you health and may you stay well protected you’re a very special lady. God bless you always. 🙏❤️🧡💙💛💜💚💖💕💝

Ohh nice one 👍👍
Hy I have been following your video since a while,,really love the way you captured our nepal . Since how long you are living in Nepal? Enjoy 😊
GRRRRLTRAVELER - you are sooooooo brave to travel to a very remote area in a country.
I had a good friend guide to ensure bravery on this one!
You go Gggrrrrlll 🤙🏼❤️
♥️
I wish all the women at nail salons in America can watch this video and see how hard those women work with their hands. And even carrying heavy loads on their backs.
haha. That's what I honestly appreciate about Nepal-- Hard work has integrity and character.❤
Maybe when all the illegals are chased out of the country American women would be happy to work the fields and uproot sweet potatoes to feed the masses. Yeah I'm a dreamer! lol
Nepalese people are kind to each other and respectful to others because they need each other and it’s exactly for this reason, farming.you can’t farm yourself, u need help from others hence they are friendly, kind and respectful to others.they are communal who live in society depending on eachothers.i think 90% of population is still farmers.they do subsistence farming meaning grow rice just to eat.in the West we don’t get along even with neighbors bcoz we don’t need each other for farming or survival.hence people are quite nasty to each other because they don’t need others to survive in the west.
Not just women at nail salons, all the women and men should watch this video and stop complaining about WiFi😁👍
You miss the point of the comment, Carson. In the video it's the women who are doing the hard work with their hands. Women in America who get their nails tended to can learn from them. There are no men working hard in the fields in this video so why waste time showing men a video of only women working hard with their hands? This video will teach American women something about working hard and not having machines doing their laundry and other chores.
Let us live as we were before peace, happy! But our neighbour India always try to be burden in our happiness!
Nice travel
What is name of the song at 2:32?? Pls do comment
next video plz this my motherland thanks for this nice video madam
MITHO CHHA 😉😎🇳🇵
Sweet and your are lovely parson
Next time when you come to Nepal let's meet up
#fact : We see lots of women working in the fields in Nepal because their husband go to abroad country like Malaysia, Qatar, Saudi, etc for a labor work to earn the living. But hats off to Nepalese women !!
Looks like you did upgrade your equipment so what's new? .. also I did arrive yesterday from nepal and the weather is different from your video.
Have you tried siddha cave
If you want an wild experience just trek with common person who can guide you very well...not from travel agency i mean a reliable local person ( you need trust to find reliable peraon) ....my personl view ...😎 why so beautiful?😙 leh
If I have Nepali friends who are experts in what they do, why not use and feature them? ;) Watch my Nepal Now video.
I'd definitely try a normal person for a food or city tour; not a trek. Commoners can push you into unsafe situations and they're not prepared with first aid emergency resources to handle the terrain. Each traveler has different physical limitations. Good guides are experienced in that.
I've watched Nabaraj grow into a responsible, humanitarian trekking guide within a ten year span. He's a common person but also experienced guide, who's led a variety of international clients from schools, seniors to tv crew.
GRRRLTRAVELER | Christine Kaaloa at the very begining he told you that "after school they will become piest" that was false information. i pointed out others too.
I agree with you at some point about travelling with common people is dangerous. But i have different travelling ideas.Thank you 🙏
Jai Nepal
nice
😘😘😍😍😍😙
