      @ItsSh0ckwave don't say nobody cares because it's only you that is saying this. If you don't care go live your life get off the vegan sites and go speak to God and let him put on your heart what is true.

    • @Rescue127
      @Rescue127 6 месяцев назад +2

      @ItsSh0ckwave I highly doubt you ever mind your own business. This video just popped up on my screen so I'm not going to look to see how old it is. You didn't have to respond to it. Unlike you I do have a life and it is very filled with joy and happiness. I don't even know why you came on a vegan site if you don't want to know the truth. This is for open-minded people. If you want to live in ignorance that is your choice but don't stop people from trying to make a better life for everyone in this world. If somebody was sex trafficking children would you let it happen or would you speak up? People tried to shut Jesus up when he was trying to preach so why would this be any different?

    • @Rescue127
      @Rescue127 6 месяцев назад +2

      @ItsSh0ckwave it doesn't surprise me that someone wants to attack someone's character. Like you said everyone has the right to their opinion but when you come on a vegan site you have to understand that people will make comments back at you because you are on the opposite side and you do not wish to hear the truth.. It's normal to have a debate. And by the way the first miracle that Jesus did was not the bread and fish it was turning water into wine. When you Google the Bible make sure you get the correct reference okay? Also Jesus ate mostly plant-based food and only fish a few times. It was documented by the scholars who did extensive research on the bible. When Jesus died for our sins he covered Us in the blood of himself so there was no more need for sacrificing after that. It is purely by choice only but if you truly are into the Bible you remember that the beginning there was no meat eating the animals were for companions only. When we all go to heaven it will be the same scenario. Why would you not want to emulate that to God now to show him that we have learned not to do violence toward his creation? The reason for the sex trafficking comment was just to let you understand that when people don't agree with something they do have the right to speak their mind otherwise atrocities will go unchecked. If I was to go by societies mindset I would be living in a communist country. I truly believe you don't mean me any disrespect at least I hope you don't it's okay to disagree with me. In my family we just say we agree to disagree and we move on. Sometimes I may not word it as what you would like to hear but I am human and since you're not in front of me face-to-face I can't see your reaction so I don't know how you're taking my comment. Whatever you choose in life it is your choice but I stand strong in what I wrote Because I feel that with all the information out there showing how the meat and Dairy Industries are causing climate change and how 75% of the soy crops grown are fed to the agricultural farming along with the abuse they do to animals it might spark some interest on your part in researching this and then maybe you might understand why I feel the way I do. The two documentaries that might help are Dominion and Cowspiracy. I wish you well on your journey ahead.

      I can get D3 from numerous sources, none of them requiring me to eat animal products. I can get D3 from time spent in the sun and also through lichen-based supplementation. Mushrooms also contain D3 as do many fortified foods suh as almond milk.
      The same is true of any and all necessary nutrients for humans.....there's NEVER a need for me to consume animal products to get any of those nutrients.
      A very long standing challenge to carnists which has never once been answered validly by carnists is: Name a necessary nutrient for humans that can ONLY be obtained by killing animals.
      Trust me, I won't be holding my breath because the answer is necessarily an empty set since every necessary nutrient for humans can be obtained from non animal sources.

      If prehistoric man hadn’t hunted meat for their diet then you wouldn’t be here today. The moral argument for not eating meat is just unfounded and a little pathetic at this point. I’m all for people living the life they want but why do non meat eaters feel the need to preach to others?

    • @andreaanonymous5474
      @andreaanonymous5474 8 месяцев назад

      @@SG-xy6hf By all means then, let's all do what prehistoric man did, since you can justify anything they did with your argument. They raped and murdered regularly. Never bathed etc. Humans evolved and became better with time. What was considered normal and justified then doesn't make a logical or reasonable argument now. You could use your argument to justify all the immoral things they did. We no longer need to eat meat to survive. Humans only had to eat meat when we moved out of the tropical climates. Torturing sentient animals for something we don't need and are healthier without is barbaric and is animal abuse. We preach, as you called it, because there's a victim in this situation that is unable to speak for themselves.
      Humans are not carnivores or omnivores.
      If you were either, you would enjoy the taste of raw meat, the blood, the guts, all of it. Humans find it repulsive for a reason. We can only eat meat if it's seasoned, cooked etc.. You weren't born with a frying pan in your hand. You also weren't born with a knife in your hand or the teeth to kill and rip open an animal for dinner. You were born however, with two hands that can easily pick fruit from a tree and the right teeth to easily eat it. Humans are frugivores. Carnivores have short digestive tracts for a reason. The dead, rotting, putrefying flesh needs to move out of the body quickly. Otherwise, it sits there and rots in your intestines and you end up with unhealthy bacteria, parasites and a whole host of other problems. Meat being one of the largest causes of colon cancer. Humans have long winding digestive tracts to slowly assimilate nutrients from plants. Humans also don't have the same stomach acid to break down animal flesh the way carnivores do. Meat causes a huge number of problems within the human body. Meat is also too acidic and is extremely inflammatory. Because the body has a calcium buffering system, your body will literally leach the calcium right out of your bones and connective tissue to rebalance itself. This is why as you get older, people shrink, get saggy, wrinkled etc.
      Anyway, believe what you want. You have the right to eat anything that you want as long as you aren't causing a living, sentient being to be tortured, raped and then murdered for your food choices. This isn't caveman times anymore, even though some humans still haven't matured or evolved enough to realize that it isn't silly to respect all life.

      Tim Bird not strictly true. Predators eat other animals out of necessity. We did once as environmental factors meant we had to adapt, and some people still need to, such as Inuit peoples, but no westerner needs to at all. We can get all of our nutritional needs from plants, apart from b12, and not even animals get much of that without dietary supplements nowadays. When the choice is between some damage to your body from the animal products or DEATH, obviously some damage is preferred to death, BUT again, ONLY in SURVIVAL SITUATIONS!! No shit. Carbon that they eat is in solid form within plants, while what they emit is CO2 and CH4 (methane), and they are greenhouse gasses.
    Solid carbon is not an issue.
    and its even a fallacy to just look at the "carbon", because a methane molecule and a CO2 molecule BOTH contain one carbon, but CH4 is a 20-80 times stronger greenhouse gas (!) (generally accepted estimate is 28-36), and it is emitted by livestock farming (in flatulence and feces) in massive amounts

Yes also remember that carbon dioxide has a atmospheric life span of 100 years at a warming potential of 1 and Methane has a lifespan of 12 years and has a warming potential of 25 over a 100 year period it is actually 3 times worse than co2 still not good but good to get your facts :)

    • @maurice7618
      @maurice7618 4 года назад

      He is actually (partially) right on this one. If the grass wouldn't be eaten by cows, it would at some point decay, releasing the same amount of carbon. The climate issue with animal farming is not the carbon that the animals "produce" but the increased land-use that comes from it. Without animal farming we would need far less agricultural space and have forests instead of grassland, capturing more carbon in solid form. The butcher conveniently leaves this part out. You are right about the methane though.

    • @lil_weasel219
      @lil_weasel219 4 года назад +1

      @@maurice7618 dude, you are so so massively wrong.
      1. decaying grass emits CO2 into the atmosphere yes. But when a cow eats it, it is *turned into methane (CH4), which is many many times stronger a greenhouse gas than CO2*
      Instead what is also the case is that SOME living plants release *methane*.
      These plants are industrial fertilizer plants used in agriculture
      www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2019/06/190606183254.htm
      2. most pasture grasses are perennial plants (tho this is irrelevant to begin w)
      Another one is nitrous oxide.
      *Nitrous oxide is a gas that is a 300 x stronger greenhouse gas than CO2, and it's primary source is again agricultural soil.*

      Belinda White i see what your saying . Sorry its a old vegan joke . It means send him the part of the animal that these meat eating bastards respect the most instead of the living being . Its funny how we allow these meat eating mass butchering people to live . Vegans should come together as a group and slaughter meat eaters and see how they like it . Fook em with frozen cucumbers . Send in the flange diver brigade and fuel em with organic nuts and sugar . Let the vegan sociopaths and looneys loose on em . Let them feel what we go through every day to fit in and justify our rebellious self deluded. hungry. malnourished. serial masterbating selves .they think its easy making cheese out of vegan products and having to pretend its ok and oh no to bad this one jane . Jane is a fictional lesbo feminist carrot munching . Serial finger blaster. but as vegans we all know a Jane right . Or maybe your the jane but either way i think meat eaters and vegans are scum . As a fruitarian i feel justified in saying that as we only eat what falls from the tree . People like you who support crop growing which kills billions of creatures each year make me sick . You think you justified complaining about slaughter houses while you eat products that directly participate to worse things . I used to be a meat eater . Then i turned to being a vegetarian . Then a vegan . And now iv progressed to a place that perhaps you might reach . But for now your a killer just like the meat eaters and deep down despite my somewhat strange humor and crazy choice of words you know im right . So actually think about it for a moment . Look past your ego or my choice of words and ask yourself how many beings died for your humus or leafy greens . We now have Nitrogen isotope 14/15 testing that uses the collagen from long bones of humans going back as far as we've been human for; which tells us precisely how much plant and animal material we've consumed. It even tells us down to the species, it's that accurate. And for approximately 250,000 years, apart from the last 10,000, we have eaten almost exclusively ruminant animal muscle meat and associated saturated fat; with some occasional plant material for medicinal reasons, or emergency substitute food. So that is some hard science that tells us what we actually DID eat until recently. Comparative anatomy also shows us that we are evolved/designed to eat meat and fat. We cannot digest plants, we don't have multiple stomachs etc.

      "Wrong" is a moving target and varies from culture to culture. Eating meat falls on line with our biological makeup. We are omnivores.

    • @rockypeppers1534
      @rockypeppers1534 Год назад

      @@cicolas_nage true, we are able to survive on plants. Doesn't mean we choose to. Animals hunt each other all the time. Many animals suffer in the wild, that's just how nature works, they know that, that's life. Humans just do it in a more technologically assisted, efficient manner.
      But simply put, many of us eat meat because meat is delicious. Nothing like a seasoned steak, juicy hot links or a smoked brisket. There is no debate because people make up their mind about what they choose to eat. Its their freedom and damnit, America loves it freedom. You can educate people all you want. You may turn some people, but being angry with people for not being vegan will do you no favors.

    • @adamjoslyn963
      @adamjoslyn963 Год назад +1

      @@cicolas_nage I used to think the same; but most carnivores didn't evolve from frugivores like we did 4.5 million years ago. Our guts are not that large at all by surface area, but they are longer than most carnivores due to our past, but also due to needing to extract more nutrients from the meat. Our stomach acid is about 10 times stronger than that of a cat ( another pure carnivore); as we started by scavenging initially; so we needed much stronger acid to kill viruses and bugs and parasites etc. When we learned to hunt, we ate mostly ruminant animal muscle meat, and then we learned to cook the food as well. We don't have sharp pointy carnivore teeth, because we don't jump at animals and kill them by sinking our teeth into them. We evolved along a specific niche (like all animals). There was no need to get rid of our flat teeth! Positive and negative selection pressures didn't require it, so it didn't happen. It's very interesting stuff :) but at least the Nitrogen isotope testing does tell us unequivocally (that means without question), what we DID eat. Until recently, we ate the muscle meat of large ruminant animals almost exclusively; we don't have any hind gut fermentation or multiple stomachs to digest plants. I wish we did, then I'd happily eat fruit all day, but we don't :(

    • @adamjoslyn963
      @adamjoslyn963 Год назад +1

      @@cicolas_nage Being a vegan kills orders of magnitude more animals than being a carnivore. A couple of animals die a year thanks to me, but thousands die for the vegan food per year. So if you want to be kind to animals, go carnivore. It's another thing that vegans need to recognise. Yes, some animals are treated badly; so yes, fix that, absolutely. But, don't make yourself sick following the wrong diet.

      Some Guy no I think ur wrong. Cows are the most efficient carbon extracting machine on earth. Cows graze grass in a way that keeps it short so that it is constantly growing at its optimum rate sucking in huge amounts of co2 way more than what a patch of trees sucks in. If we farm cows in a way that respects how they originally lived, they would cover vasts amount of land and keep lots of grass short . So we can do this by using frequent field rotations. You see cow farming is one of the main answers to climate change but all these delusional vegans only see the argument in black and white. Sorry bad English

    It's one of those topics where evryone knows deep down that we should all be vegan and that what we are doing is morally repugnant and harmful to the environment, but it reveals the selfishness of human nature and how our brains are so hard wired to prriorise short term pleasure over long term gain. And I am writing this comment as a meat eater who is fully aware that what I am doing is wrong. I am trying to cut down though.
