For that light / fan thing. It is also situations where you are renting and there isn't a fan on the ceiling but there is a single downward pointing bulb. Although, it is like my lights where the light fixture has sideways pointing connectors, you'd be SOL.
On the projector: movies at home isn’t the target market for that project, which is why the sound sucks. That projector would be beyond useful for traveling businesspeople. It’s light, compact and gets the job done for presentations. If it’s relatively cheap, that thing could be a real winner.
I bought one of these portable projectors for my fiance, it's made by XIMI, to replace her tv that failed. Has a builtin battery and Android, with HDMI and an sdcard slot. She loves it, can take it outside and point it on the wall and put movies on for the kids while the family is bbqing, stream from netflix or amazon, etc. The picture quality is very good, its super bright, and it doesnt cost a fortune (I think I paid $300 for it) and when she puts it on her room wall, it takes up the entire wall.
Kodak Mini projector has 2 models $179 100" or $219 for 150". 1080P. It's ok if you want to watch movies outside. A sheet tacked to the garage would work.
Having a fan straight up is good for a couple reasons, but it just dosnt do what most people want from a fan which is relief from the heat.... Having a fan pointed up will blow cool air up and chill the hot air, you will slightly lower the temperature of a room and reduce stuffyness, but you will not find any relief from a hot day with it that way... Also these might be great for for like, ceiling lights in the kitches so you can blow all the heat out while you're doing your thing.
a reversibile fan is great because with some temperature conditions it's better to circulate air upwards and others it's nice to circulate air downwards
