i know Im asking randomly but does someone know a way to log back into an Instagram account? I was stupid forgot the account password. I appreciate any help you can give me!
@Wade Braden I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Great stuff as always Ben. Been a motion designer for a far few years now but with every video I learn something new. Like a use for the extractor effect.
I tried using this technique without the post coloring with a video I had already made and layered it with the original at 40% transparency with the multiply blend mode, and it gave it a really nice stylish pattern-like shading
Very nice job as always! I love watching these tutorials and trying to guess what effect you're going to use next and how. It's almost like a test of what we've learned so far 😂
Only discovered this channel recently and it's really inspired me to get back into after effects - last time I was really involved was over 5 years ago, so thank you for helping me getting back on track with your awesome tutorials, really good stuff mate!
this technique has no thinning of lines depending on luminance. that is achieved be slightly blurring the lines and applying a threshold, after the mixing with the original.
Instead of doing the »extract« thing and duplicating it a couple of times, you can put the pattern on a white background, put it above Mr. Cage and use the »Hard Mix« blending mode. That works pretty good for me. Especially if you put a .5 blur or so on the pattern to clean up the edges :)
Heya! After effects noob here. I was wandering is there is any way that I could make the dots alternate colours. Any tutorials or some help would be much appreciated.
nice one. this effect should be used with clever masking, either rotomasking, object or luminance based. each mask will have a slightly different version of the effect (rotation/style). otherwise it appear too flat and readymade.
all of these videos should start out with a raw idea on a paper sketchpad, & then a final 'mental' visualization of what you mean that it will look like - THEN you select TheApp to achieve this effect & how to go about it. In this video, i jumped to The end, & i still didn't have any idea what you intended to do ( ? )
Finally I can make a print of myself on money.
I do not endorse counterfeiting currency of any kind. Unless it's animated, and the labels were layered
@@BenMarriott and the labels were layered lol

Interesting.
So Extract is basically Photoshop's Blend-If effect within the layer's blending modes.
on your screen for the pen tool it says fill and stroke at the top. my screen does not. how do i get that menu for the pen tool to pop up??
Ben, when I posterize, I get really rough/noisy edges. Why is that?

Missed opportunity for a 50 shades of grey joke
This was so good I can only think of one unstranslatable idiom in portuguese to say: TU EH O BICHÃO MERMO HEIM NEGUIN
I see you added 7 shades of gray. Why not add another 43?
**Enters bat butt**
**Proceeds to learn after effects**
why do we still have to go through a bat butt
Every time the 'thumbs down' count is at anything other than zero on a Marriott tutorial I become disproportionately upset.
how did *YOU* know I was browsing to see if I had labeled my layers...
