could've used motion graph for that opacity keyframes on the masks with "flashes" on it, its easier and easier for beginners too, you would've just needed 3 keyframes 0%-100%-0% and graphed it up
Question, I'm still getting the box square around my vfx after right clicking for blending mode and applying screen. What do I do to clean it up? Thanks

That I build my self. I would definitely be interested in seeing your build and also thanks for inspiring me to pursue my goals as well.
In this case we're actually doing a faux 3d track. It's really just using 2D motion from the video source, but if we used the camera tracker in AE, we could make it a 3d track. I tried it at first for this shot but that ended up being overkill since the blast is so quick 😂
