I love Red Giant. I've been looking for a good, decent energy tutorial for so long, and I just learned everything I need to know in the first 10 minutes. :') it brings a tear to my eye
1 of the few guides which clearly and detailed explains and reveals how to create specific VFX with AE.
Hard to find video guides nowdays which do not rush showing guidelines, that is a huge advantage for your guide.
My brother I love you whoever you are...in less than 15 minutes you accomplished what 15 tuts couldn't even teach me in six months...keep doing what you do!

Thanks for a great tutorial, and thanks for birniging some concepts about using the effects, not just teaching step by step how to achieve a specific goal. I believe it´s the most important thing in a tutorial: to understand the concept beneath the excercise.

FOR ANYONE HAVING SET MATTE PROBLEMS:
I changed the TAKE MATTE FROM LAYER first box to the original GLOW layer, then the second box to MASKS & EFFECTS.
That fixed the "set matte is doing nothing" problem.

my problem is that the second set matte shifts the whole layer to the right for idk what reason.

There's something very "Kramerian" about Hashi's joke @ :47. I think it's the delivery. Very glad to have found Hashi's tutorials as he seems to have picked up where Andrew, all of our first AE teacher, has left off (no offense to Aharon Rabinowitz, still an AE hall of famer). Really, really good stuff.

Hey man, could you maybe try and make a tutorial on the snap effect. you know when you gather all 6 stones and they send all kinds off effect through your body and burning your skin in the process? yeah so that effect hasn't been done by anyone with professional skill
