Its a great amp. I use it loud and it does have a unique growl , which imho sits good in a mix. Cleanchannel sounds Very round. Not pinching. However, as someone pointed out, the orange cabs are another flavor on their own. Becomes a totally Different sound altogether from the amp
The Orange cabs definitely have their own flavor. It's interesting to hear the same speaker in so many different cabs sound so much different. That head definitely has it's own voice and I love it.
I have an Orange TH30, which is a similar beast in terms of gain structure, just not tone controls. It loves having a Tubescreamer up front. I also use a ten-band EQ in the loop to cut the 500hz frequency for clarity. E standard thrashy stuff if that matters.
Matters a lot. Just reading your comment left me some research to do on both the TH30 and ten-band EQ! Thank you for that input and thank you for watching Joel. I appreciate your words just as much as the last video comments.
@@tyrannosaurusriffs not to get too sappy, but I appreciate being appreciated. We all need to spread and receive more proper love. Thank you for doing your part. The TH30 with a TS and 500hz cut really can thrash to one degree or another which is nice. I also run a PRS MT15 and am waiting on a Marshall DSL20HR that hit some shipping snag. 😞 someday maybe I'll rock a multiwatt Dual Rec. Kyle Bull was one up for sale and I just have zero budget for it. My loss.
@@JoelCSabo couldn’t agree more. The world is to negative. I almost grabbed the MT15. A guy offered to trade for one of my guitars. Kyle Bull always has a ton of gear for sale! I wish I’d of had the cash for his Randall Satan. I’d really like to try one.
@@tyrannosaurusriffs I definitely have love/hate days with my MT15 and TH30 but that PRS mini head is so darn powerful and unique. I've heard that Mark Tremonti wanted it to be a blend of his Uberschall and Dual/Triple Rec (can't recall) so it's got a killer wall of sound for 15 watts (actually closer to 30 from what I hear). Anyway, it's worth checking out. I boost mine with a Wampler Tumnus Deluxe pushing extra bass and mids which thickens then whole sound. The amp EQs stay around noon and then maybe the ten-band EQ in the loop does a little too.
@@JoelCSabo man an Uberschall would be a dream to try. I just got the Badlander on Friday so that’s up next! I wasn’t very interested in trying many amps until I started this channel and now I can’t stop.
So that can vary day to day, song to song for me but to try and answer your question lately the Rockerverb has my favorite high gain channel. Stealth has my favorite clean. I do love all 3 but as of late that’s how I would answer that! I think quality is there on all 3. Sound, you can dial and get in similar ballparks. The Orange clean channel is really unique though! I like the darker sound of the Stealth for cleans.
@tyrannosaurusriffs haha you're a mad man. I had anout 12 and thought I had issues. Down to 6 now... cost a fortune in strings. Keep ripping man ! Peace
@@tyrannosaurusriffs I've recently come to the conclusion that I HATE orange cabs... the wood is SO thick along with the mesh and every Orange amp i've owned or played don't have a presence knob so I find myself having to add an EQ in the fx loop along with an overdrive pedal. You should try an overdrive on this thing man, it REALLY tightens it up and makes it 1000% better! Especially if you EQ it.
@@KaddysJamKave I’ll definitely be trying my overdrive out with it. The Orange cabs do sound quite a bit different. I need to plug this head into my Mesa cab to see what it sounds like! I’m thinking about doing a cab video with Vintage 30’s. I’ve got 4 different ones that have them so (to me) it would be interesting to hear it through all 4 to hear the tonal differences.
I absolutely love my rockerverb!
Same! One of my favorite amplifiers! It’s just so easy to enjoy every time.
Came for the Orange but dude you have the sickest wall of Avengers and Schecters. They all look sick.
Hey, thank you! I love the Avenger body shape so much. This Rockerverb sure is amazing though!
I’m really digging the size of this 50 watt Rockerverb.
They’re so dang good! Bummed I slept on this amp for so long. I’m really enjoying this amplifier way more than I thought I ever would!

Solid video. Solid amp!
Thanks!
Do you prefer the EVH EL34 and the stealth or this amp and are they even close as far as quality and sound goes?. Thanks

Thanks for the video! Sounds great 🤙
Thank you for that! I appreciate you taking the time to watch it!
How many guitars do you have ? Wowzer haha and orange amps rule !
At the time around this filming I believe I had around 40? Currently sitting at 34 with 2 for sale haha

The best amplifiers.
You have been saying that for close to 20 years now. I like the consistency!
You’re my hero
My boy! I have a surprise video coming for you. It involves a Slipknot speaker 😎
Do you find this amp and speaker cab combination really dark sounding until you max out the treble and perhaps add an over drive?
A bit, yes! Haven’t tried my overdrive or boost with it yet though!

Hi what your cabinet cabinet
Hello! This cabinet was an Orange PPC112 with a 16 OHM Vintage 30!
Hook it into a 4 12 next time and really feel it!
seriously! I've played it through my Mesa 412 and it is amazing!
That's the way I work em too.. let's just turn it up.. um a little more..
5 months later and I still feel the same about this amp. It rules and I can never get enough of it! Turn it up!
You make Jim Root sound like a bum 🤣
Haha dude Jim is the man! He plays these Orange amps!
