Confirmation is a beautiful grace. It must be done with the laying on of hands with the anointing oil. Beware of the confirmations performed with implements. As this is not canonical

Beautiful, precise, useful. If I can ask, why's confirmation ordered years later of Infant baptism?

Thank you for the kind words and thanks for the question! It’s a good one.
Confirmation is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation. The other two are Baptism and the Eucharist. For someone to be able to receive Confirmation, they must be baptized and not yet have received Confirmation. In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is "sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit" and is strengthened for service to the Body of Christ. Baptism and Confirmation begin our initiation into the Body of Christ and prepare us to receive the Eucharist.
Confirmation is a unique sacrament because the ordinary minister for the sacrament of confirmation is the local Bishop. With some exceptions, it is the Bishop alone who can confer the Sacrament of Confirmation. This works when the church community is small in population or geographic size and there are not too many people receiving this sacrament each year (or month!). In the early Church, and for almost 500 years, a person would receive all three sacraments of initiation all at once. Even infants! And they would receive them in this order: first Baptism, then Confirmation, then the Eucharist.
As the Church has grown in population and geographic size, the ability for people to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation becomes more and more delayed. Baptism, however, does not need to be conferred by a Bishop. In order to not delay people (or babies) from receiving Baptism, some Bishops decided to allow the baptizing of infants without waiting for the Bishop to be available to confer the sacrament of Confirmation. This eventually led to a delay between babies receiving baptism and the sacrament of confirmation, as well as the Eucharist. However, this is up to the discretion of the local Bishop and there are many other reasons and factors that have caused the delay in some dioceses between infants receiving Baptism and then receiving Confirmation and the Eucharist.
It is worth noting that when an unbaptized adult goes through the formal Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (the process of entering the Church and receiving the Sacraments of Initiation) they usually receive Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist all at once, preferably at the Easter Mass.
If you want to dive into these things more directly, check out CCC 1213-1321.
      Hope that helps!

I was told by a Baptist Pastor Catholics going to hell because they have not called on God for salvation. Is that true?
    This video explained nothing

    • @realplustrue

That's a great question! Catholics believe that faith is a great and personal response to God, made possible by grace.
This video helps explain it: www.realtrue.org/videos/what-does-it-mean-to-have-faith/
Or, check out the Catechism of the Catholic Church which contains the summary of what Catholics believe! Especially paragraphs 142-184.
We also have a video coming out soon about justification and salvation. You can sign up for our newsletter here: www.realtrue.org/connect/

Not once did this message share scripture to back up the explanation. Please read the Word for yourself and ask God more about confirmation vs true baptism and how to receive the Holy Spirit. We are accountable to Christ, so do your due diligence Believers. Not just trust these videos on YT.

There are many Scripture references in CCC 1285-1321, which this video was based on! Of course, a video cannot replace reading the Bible or the Catechism. But, hopefully, this is a helpful introduction for people who may be intimidated by those books!
