Jerome! Hope all is well my friend. Thanks for checking in as always. Have a couple videos planned for upcoming month or so. Leader formula change and a strategy for winter fishing. Tight lines and I’ll catch you in the next one.
Hey hey Mike! Very nice presentation and demonstration. Looks like times are good, congratulations on your guiding service success. Wish we lived closer to catch up more often. Hope to see you in ‘23. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻.
Hey Scott, Sorry for my late response! It was fun out there on this winter day. I do agree we are overdue for a day on the water. We will make it happen. I wish you well this year and keep sending those videos out. I have enjoyed them all!
Thanks for the kind words and appreciate you watching. Excited for the spring and clinic. Last spring was magical on the river. Tight lines to you in 2023 and hope to see you on a stream!
I Tight Line that river year round. So I’d keep it consistent there with how I have my set up in each video. Tippet wise 6x flouro and typically one fly. Winter I like egg patterns, Tasmanian devils, and turbo midges. Stone flies or pats rubber legs would be good too. Tight lines!
Literally everything! It has the reel, rod, line, even a leader (though not my favorite; but certainly good enough) and even comes with tippet to use, which is 5x flouro. Heck, they even include flies now, which appear to be good Tungsten Beaded ones. The price has even dropped recently, which makes it a GREAT deal right now. Here is a link for it: amzn.to/45nTxVQ I would highly recommend for a starter set up, which I think it is better than a beginner set. Just be sure to choose the Euro Nymph Ready to Fish Bundle. It was $399, which I thought was a good enough deal. It is now only $320!!! Enjoy and thank me later! Tight lines Jonathan!
Hey Ryan, Have fun up that way. That stream is one of my favorites in PA, I have done a couple videos there as well. I would use attractors like eggs, worms, as well as some basic staples like walts worms and midges. All else fails, try a streamer. Tight lines and hope you get into them!
Hey David, The next month or so I’m gonna drop a video on that. Definitely been a great change for productivity. A little less versatility, but great set up.
Hey Mike ! Great video very informative. For anyone thinking about getting into euro nymphing what a deal,a quality Nymphing combo with an established guide to help take a lot guess work out of the equation. I wish you continued success in 2023. Tightlines my friend!
Hey Dale, Sorry for the late response. This is no Thomas and Thomas, but I do rate it right up there or above my Cortland Nymph and Syndicate. All are great rods in their own right. However, for the price point and knowing you get a rod, reel, and some other goodies, this is a slam dunk. You of all people know the value of a good rod. You have test driven and own some of the best on the market! Tight lines my friend!
Thanks Neil. Appreciate you watching. I fished this rod the day we were out too. Love it. Can’t wait for June and spending a weekend making memories with the boys!
Mike, glad to see you back. Thanks for the information on the euro nymphing outfit. Always enjoy your videos!

The fisherman does catch the fish, but a good rod helps!
Just saw this was from you lol. Thanks for checking out the video. I agree the fisherman is pretty darn important.
very cool mike thanks for sharing....see ya joe.
Thanks Joe, excited for the class and we are half way filled up. Tight lines this year!

I can vouch for both the quality of Mike’s guiding and that rod as I got to experience both last year.

So what’s the best set up for late winter (now) through March for Gunpowder below the damn?

@@tightliningmd How do I set up for some guiding on the Gunpowder?
Does it come with everything I need to get started? Like all I should have to do is add tippet to the ring?

Howdy! I'm new to fly fishing. I'll be working in the Yellow Breeches. What kind of flies would you recommend throwing this time of year?

Hey Mike are you going to explain this micro leader? I'm interested to use with Tenkara.

Pro tip. Build your rod from top down.
Great video Mike, keep them coming and see you on the water.
