Honestly, being a good father to Telemachus might’ve been the best way to get the throne. Too bad they didn’t try that.
Naw man, don't forget that Penelope loves no other man but Odysseus. Rather, this is how they should have wooed Penelope in the first place. Then Telemachus will have 111 parents (his birth parents, 108 more fathers, plus one divine godmother), WIN-WIN!😂
@@xyanneabat9493 I know Penelope wouldn’t love anyone else but you underestimate what a mother might do if she thinks it will be good for her child. If one of them really was close with Telemachus they had a higher chance of being chosen simply on the basis of “this one isn’t being a dick to my son”
@@Taegyn_Artemis that and if they used their power over telemachus by being a better father figure he could have manipulated the boy into believing it was in their best interest to marry him a sons words would have gone far to convince the queen

Honestly, though - even if Penelope wouldn’t betray Odysseus, making Telemachus fond of them would at least give them more political sway (bc if the _prince_ likes them, then they “must” be good, right?)
Unfortunately, none of them thought to be nice to Telemachus to get the throne because Odysseus was the only man in all of ancient Greece with two braincells to rub together.
Edit: Jorge should ABSOLUTELY cast this guy as Antinous in the actual musical.
Unfortunately I think the singer is a commission, not sure if he knows about the musical

@@staticmations4764, the voice for Antinous has already been casted though it's not David, but it's still awesome and it sounds very good and is very fitting, and I would say that it has some similarities.

I like to think this is an alternate universe where the suitors are Odysseus's old friends who's protecting and caring for Penelope and Telemachus while Odysseus was gone
Suitor: Hey guys, you know what would be a great opportunity? If we deposed the prince, took the queen for ourselves and ruled over Ithica!
Antinous: You did not just suggest killing my godson and forcing yourself upon my war buddy's wife, someone fetch my blade I am actually going to gut this man. Jorge singing as Antinous gives me more the chills than anyone else I have listened to. I would rather Jorge does, like with Polyphemus.

I read the comments saying how nice of a father figure suitors are for little Tele and was SOOO confused when I heard that Ody kills all the suitors. I was like, wait, buddy, are not they your friends you left to take care of your family??? Did you not like the cake? wtf???

Oh honey, I cant even imagine... I read most of the ancient greek yths by age 7 so I just laugh at the absurdity of this parody but yeah, if one does not know the story, that must have been confusing as hell to jump from a wholesome though weirdly treatening birthday party to them gettin slaughtered

Okay I just noticed it but Antinous in the real song animatic has an eyepatch on his right eye. Meaning in a way this is his reverse self with the opposite end. A good guy who looks like a villain.

Ok this is objectively funny but also that guy is probably my one of my favourite “auditions” for hold him down
I knew this was Gigi at first sight her art is easy to differentiate I love it
I imagined the most wholesome version of Epic the Musical I can think of. Odysseus does not kill any of the sheep, he makes a deal with Polyphemus trading the wine with some food but no sheep, and they leave with enough food until they get to Circe. After Circe turns the scouts to pigs Polities and Odysseus beg her to turn them back with Odysseus giving her his backstory, and after looking deep into Polities's eyes agrees to let them go and help them find a way in exchange for Polities's hand in marriage. Odysseus and Circe fight over who gets to keep Polities because we all know the two were so into each other but Polities stops it and decides to stay with Circe and are married with the crew celebrating and Odysseus crying. While this is going on and during so the suitors decide the best way to get to Penelope and therefore the throne is to be nice to Telemachus and they all eventually warm up to him calling him "Little wolf." as a nickname. They become less suitors and more like uncles and roommates who live with the queen and prince. Some of the suitors even marry the 12 maidens (The same ones that backstabbed the queen in the original story) and after killing Scylla with some crew members dying go back to their voyage. Soon come across Calypso's island and Eurylochus meets her and they fall in love and some of the crew settle in paradise with another marriage. Odysseus and the rest make it home finally and on Telemachus's birthday and after realizing the situation is happy his son was raised by men who stepped up and form a strong alliance that lasts for many long centuries and everyone except Scylla gets a happy ending.
What does everyone think?
This is a great fanfic story!
The only thing I think doesn't work is Scylla. I heard that Hercules is only one who had a chance to kill her (and did in certain myths).
And the only reason why they even went to Scylla is because they were chased by Poseidon. But since they aren't, they have no reason to go to her and fight

I wanna read a whole fanfic. Although, Eurylochus was married to Ody's sister so that might be an awkward thing for Odysseus to explain. "Brother, what happened to my husband? Why is he not with the rest of your men?" "Well... He met someone else."
