    If Start/Stop doesn't work, to me that's a win! SS is a royal pain and I disabled mine with Multiecuscan.

    Hello, same problem and dtc on my fiat dobló. It is electric problem of the valve when is old. After replacing you should say to ecu that you replaced the valve and also reset self-learnt values. If new valve is not original dellorto or pierburg any other valve will stop working after some months. I suggest you an egr off remaping the ecu by a chiptuner. My Doblo is now 308.000km

      Thanks for the comment. I will try to reset learned values using multiecuscan. Do you know if that does the trick?

      @Just Fix It When I replaced my old egr (P0487, P0490) by a new one I forget to say to MES that I replaced it, and I didn't reset learn values and limp mode came. Then I did and worked fine for near one year. The new valve was not dellorto or pierburg and failed, totally blocked. As a new valve was 150€ I preferred to put the plate a remapping ecu egr off by a chiptuner. With plate engine working fine but limp mode came. So necessary egr off.

    Hi. Good job with the video. Quick question, how did you fitted new seal?? Thanks 👍

    • @hosuandreiremus
      @hosuandreiremus  Год назад +2

      There is no seal, just a metal crush washer. You just insert it in the hole, it tends to locate in place. Just be carefull when installing the EGR valve. If it does not go in free it may be because your washer is not seated correctly

    Does it leak coolant when changing the egr? Is it necessary to drain the cooling System? Thanks in advance!

      I did not have any coolant leak and I did not drain the coolant. I took the egr valve out 3 times so far and no problem with coolant leaking.

    If the EGR is dirty that quick again after cleaning, maybe another issue is going on. A faulty MAP and/or MAF sensor could also be the problem. These sensors together with the turbo pressure sensor tell the ECU the right amount of air/fuel mixture depending on what is asked from the engine. Too much fuel, more waste in the exhaust gasses etc. If one of these sensors is faulty that also produces loss of power and a fault code. Though not sure about this, but there is as far as I know not a specific fault code for a faulty sensor. Best to check them individually or replaced them all.

      Agree with your comments but I think having a thin ash coaring shortly after cleaning the EGR is normal. I did clean the MAF sensor as well and checked the MAP sensor is working correctly. Generally , when a sensor fails it will show as open circuit or very high resistance and the ECU will pick it up. But if you have a case where you are getting incorrect readings the ECU might try and interpret the data as correct. I had issues like this on a different car where I replaced a faulty sensor with the incorrect part number ad caused a lot of problems. In this particular instance I never got to the bottom of the issue.

    What was like in driving with fault egr

    • @hosuandreiremus
      @hosuandreiremus  Год назад +1

      I could not feel a difference. I think the car would only use the normal driving mode (so no dynamic mode available) and start stop was disabled whilst there was a check engine light on but that did not cause any problems with the way the car drove and the power.

      @@hosuandreiremus yeah I've had this issue for about 2 years now. Done a whole load of troubleshooting to find out I just need to replace my EGR valve in the end. Hopefully it works because I'm doing a road trip in August to Italy 😂

      For me I can feel the difference in the power when I clear it with the scanner I go in dynamic mode it still clears but it’s as quick

    Start/Stop doesn't work under 3c.

    This 2.0 JTDM engine is the worst diesel engine to work on, and I've worked on 100s. Just awful, and considering how often the EGR valves have problems, they really could have given us better accessibility. Do not get this 2.0 JTDM engine! The 1.9 JTDM engines are far better!
