I dont want a shadow of war sequel, the game brings us forward to the og trilogy, I want a goddamn game that takes place during the times of morgoth. There is so much untouched gameplay potential there, imagine a helldivers 2 style game but instead of fighting bugs and robots in space, you are fighting off the armies of morgoth throughout middle earth. Otherwise I want revamps of the old lord of the rings gamecube games, return of the king was my addiction as a kid.
The Rings of Power is a complete mockery of Tolkiens works.

However I recently learnt that they only have the rights to dig information from the Lord of the Rings books as well as the Hobbit book. They are not allowed to dig in the Silmarillion and other letters from Tolkien.
Which is absurd when you make this series about a period which is thousands years prior to the LOTR and Hobbits timelines.
Which is why this show can not be right for us lovers of Tolkien's world.

I wonder how bad they screwed this season up. Are they going to make all the orcs lesbians with military haircuts? Or are they going to make Sauron an angry black female? I bet they have all kinds of fun swapping characters into things they werent supposed to be.. Maybe we will get to see Manwe and He will be a super feminine gender fluid with high heels and some fairy wings or better yet, Varda will have a buzz cut and a super deep voice.

I’ve called this show many things over the past 2 years from abomination to cringe to vile. But after long contemplation I’ve concluded what it actually is. A blatant and open attack on Tolkiens work in an attempt to destroy his legendarium not unlike how Morgoth turned elves into orcs. Everyone involved in Rings of Power hates JRR Tolkien from the top executive producers to the actors and writers.

I wouldn’t say bad, but not really great. But agree that casting was poor, overall design was weak and the story was not well explored. It was like the new SW’s vs the originals.

I think the most frustrating part for me is the fact that they are trying to force the exact same style of relationships onto us that we got with the og trilogy. The only positive thing I can give this shit is the fact they went back to orc makeup and costumes. That is the only singular thing this show has over the hobbit movies. I will not be watching season 2 for this reason

My favorite part is when Gandalf, alongside the Doctor, Han Solo, and Marty McFly, teams up with Captain Kirk and Ripley from Aliens to face off against a hybrid Saruman-Terminator Time Travel Robot in a chaotic final battle at Mount Doom. The unexpected alliances and confrontations, like Rick Sanchez accidentally summoning Daniel Jackson through a Stargate and Mad Max navigating Middle-earth in his post-apocalyptic car really make this story worth seeing! Dreamy!

The Lord of the Rings is cool! And these rings of power are rare tolerant shit! In the Lord of the rings, there are gorgeous actors and interesting characters, and in the rings of power, the main character is a stupid chicken. Although compared to the rest of the elves, she is still a genius. And the acting is so-so. And the rest of the elves are so unlike elves and reflect humans so much that it's no good. The works of Peter Jackson are a masterpiece, and this... And this... yes, I have no words 🤮
