Also, I was considering buying a used bike for transport, is that feasible?
Sounds great! start with airbnb until you find yourself an apartment here, check maltapark.com and also the accommodation fan pages on facebook, you can find directly from owners or a sharing room. Bikes are great as we have 300 days of sunshine, but you have those days when sometimes it might rain for a whole day, very rear maybe like 10 days per year, the rest of the rainy days are usually just light showers or heavy rain of like 10 minutes but the drainage system is not so good so the streets are flooded for good2 hours after a 10min heavy rain :)

Hey there, €280.50 is annual fee. No thise documents are not required when applying dor work permit

A good advantage about Malta is we speak English, but we also speak Maltese, which can be tricky to learn

I have a few questions Alex. I don't know if you have an answer.
Does buying a car in Malta count as property? As an EU citizen can I get a Maltese license plate and use the car to drive around Europe? Would I have to bring the car back to Malta once a year? Would that be possible given the fact there are no bridges connecting Italy to Malta?

Not really the wind can be quite random but the seasons are quite consistent

Alex - my container ship visited your port back in 2004, I went ashore and had a great time
I was very impressed with the island and the thing that stood out was that most people spoke engish, I was used to visiting foreign ports where NOBODY did
I was thinking that I might find a job in the container terminal or the port, do you know anything about jobs over there ? Maybe I could be a shipping company agent who visits the ships and meets with the captain about the cargo and what he needs ! I worked in that environment for 30 years

I keep reading about fireworks all the time and people shooting birds, is that correct? As for the humidity, this isn't usually a problem near the coast, as the winds help, do they help here? Thanks.
Hey. Fireworks is during the summer time July August, in different areas around the island, its a traditional Maltese feast season. Shooting birds is illegal in several areas but still people are doing this. No, the humidity is the same all around the island, and its really high when we have a heatwave (like we had 4 weeks ago)
Actually @Alex no hunting is not illegal. We have a spring and an autumn hunting season for migrating birds mainly quails. That said, a lot of illegal hunting goes on and hardly ever checked. Usually there are people from the international groups CABS who keep an eye on such illegal activities and report to the police. It seems this year they were not present maybe due to covid.

@@AlexinMalta actually a grey heron was shot and found wounded near Golden Bay. The vet decided it had to be put to sleep as the gun wounds were extensive. I mean a grey heron - such majestic birds - why?!!
I dont know what is the excitement of shooting birds honestly :((
