If you play Blues, Country, Rock or Straight Ahead Jazz Guitar this workshop is the perfect stepping stone to expand your playing into the exciting world of Gypsy Jazz. You'll get the authentic Gypsy sound into your solos.
In addition to the classic Gypsy Jazz sound and Django's monster arpeggios, I'll be showing you all the simple and hip arpeggios that I use in my solos to give me a cool sound. These will work for you too.
You'll see that you can play Gypsy Jazz, and sound authentic and cool, without having to shred.
This approach will empower you to create your own solos on other tunes in the future.
If you've ever felt unsure about what notes to play over chords or worried that your solos just sound like you're noodling around aimlessly then these masterclasses are designed for you.
You're going to learn a powerful stash of cool gypsy jazz licks and I'll show you how to join them together to make your own hot solos.
Upgrade your soloing skills, & give yourself a big confidence boost for when it's your turn to improvise at the jam or gig. Plus add these classic jam tunes to your repertoire!
Hi Robin, I'm watching from China. New to Gipsy Jazz. Have been playing flamenco for 30 years... on a flamenco guitar.
Gipsy sound also works on nylon strings! Thanks for your lessons!
wow nice one yes Gypsy Jazz sounds beautiful on nylon strings. There's quite a few tunes that have that spanish vibe too like 'Made For Wesley' Bossa Dorado' stay inspired!

From California. I play a Martin PA4 GPCR. I do Western-Flavored Country Music and really enjoy adding a bit of Gypsy and Cantina flavors in my music. Thanks so much for giving me some ideas and some ornimants to hang in my fills and solos.

Here in the Hudson Valley of New York State, USA. Hotter than hell up here. Sticking to my MD50. Missed the live version so I waited until the chaos at home died down to groove upon this essential (and much-needed) lesson. So nice.
@@seckhoffable nice on Sally stay cool stay inspired! 🎸🙌❤️🙏
I'm a club member catching the replay. This system is really cool. It's kind of shocking how quickly you can hop from learning the basic shapes to truly improvising with them. Then picking up the shapes for each new song amplifies what you've already learned. It's fun!
@@bruteflorist nice one so glad it’s working for you and see you on the club!
From Southern California. Sorry I missed it live. I use solid body electrics with super light strings because of hand issues I developed a long time ago playing classical guitar with too high action. I also don't use a pick, Weird thing is that when I jammed with some people they said my solo's sounded Gypsy influenced. What's even weirder than that is that I was adopted and when I found my birth family I found out my great grandfather was a Romani Gypsy.
@@BeachJazzMusic amazing man stay inspired and thanks for the comment! 🎸🙌❤️
