Its just insane how much damage it does, the nerf makes it a bit more annoying to keep up the 8 stacks

What do you think about using Wind with Shard to almost never lose stacks, get them all back almost immediately if you do lose them, and rarely need to do a normal basic + Scope and potentially crit emblems? I have a slightly positive crit rate on my black/green emblem build anyway. I know you lose out on the boost from Freeze Dry, but it's super fast, almost impossible to lose shards, and crits galore. I'm just not sure which are ultimately better
i already said, freeze dry cult will win in the end. RIP ice shard.
I played icy wind before the Spa ratio increase, and It was already good, i didnt understood the buff, i guess people were just obsessed with icicle spear for some reason and the devs wanted people to try the other build

I feel like glaceon nerf didn't very much impacted most glaceon main like me, still doing 80k + damage today
I am really good as glaceon, the only problem in my game is my teammates that are as intelligents as potatos

Yup you can get 150k damage and your teammates still find a way to lose. It's just insanity. They either refuse to to defend or score or show up for objectives, waste their unites etc

I'm still baffled at how you secure jungle without the need to fight with your tooth and nails with someone who wouldn't take no for an answer.
To be fair, they probably think the exact same thing about you (both sides are being stubborn). The annoying part is when someone has no idea what their doing and takes jungle.

i love how this is what they decided to fix with glaceon, not the damage output just the spear stacks which are just mildly annoying to keep up now w/o blue. nerf that did basically nothing LMAO

red buff auto attack slow, blue buff 10% cool down reduction for moves

Man that added 0.5 seconds on icy wind cooldown is so big that we definitely survive a lot more now

The nerf makes glaceon more item dependent like it was on the old map, but that doesn't change the fact that it still does an insane amount of damage so maybe they should remove the ability to crit with it
Can we still keep it up without emblem? Because in tournament emblem is not allowed

i would suggest black and green items for a special attacker like glaceon. (sp atk and cooldown reduction)

Being able to maintain the stacks is a huge part of the kit that makes the mon viable. Just simply tune down some of the damage

Too bad I don't think it's possible to keep icy up out of combat with a level 20 shell and Amp though.
You have 3% less cdr which is about 0.2 sec difference compared to lvl 30 items. That's nothing. The important thing is having both items at 20 + blue buff.

I think if the CD is increased again so that even the blue buff can't keep Icy Wind up, it might be a bit more balanced, but the damage on this build is absolutely insane!
If that the case then Mew and Mewtwo emblem are needed

It's not broken if it's reliant on blue buff
you can keep the crystals all the time if you go with the other move instead of freeze dry, 1 dash + wait + ice shard + wait + dash and like that the crystals never go off

@@soupchef1319 when the icy wind is on CD you can do crits with ice shard, if you think its no dmg its bc you are bad and thats it. Besides freeze dry is so easy to dodge.
@@CrazyW0nderland I’m 1950 master but ok. Icy wind with freeze dry does about 20% more dps but it isn’t even about that, freeze dry allows the double icy wind one shot combo as demonstrated in this video which makes glaceon broken. Doing icy shard autos requires you to be closer to enemies for longer on a squishy Pokémon

Now they need to nerf Freeze Dry's SpAtk buff down to +20%, and the Icy Wind build should be somewhat balanced. Perhaps reduce the Icy Wind ratio by 2% per hit as well.
Icicle Spear build can still hurt though, people are just sleeping on it currently because Icy Wind is too good.
