I think the reason icy wind is so underrated is clearly because, it's so jungle dependent and blue buff is a must
im pretty sure it's also of difficulty, icicle shards are just insanely easy and safer as a zoning tool, meanwhile with icy wind you have to dive in.
also it not newbie friendly for held item 2 lv30 item amp is ok but shell bell is not very useful for most of pokemon
@@LiveGoDaYDaYs ur right at that one, but I think newbie ones will still find icy wind difficult to use cuz even the expert ones sometimes messes it up

Anytime I pick icy wind, I get instantly jungle greifed by my entire team. Still enjoy it tons, though. Although with max CD emblems, you can keep crystals up starting at level 10 without blue
I don't play it because who it targets is completely random.
Sucks when you're trying to focus down that Mewtwo Y, but Icy Wind decides that the Crustle is a much more viable target. And yes, I'm aware there are options for changing your target to "Lowest HP" or "Nearest" - but who you'd want to target will change between the two constantly.
and worse is when you end up targeting jungle bees instead of that mewtwo and tada now you're assaulted by future sight.
I remember how this build was the main reason why I tolerated Zacian a lot. Fun times but it was reasonable why the Icy Wind damage has to be nerfed at some point due to Slick Spoon. This build is underrated and I am happy that its in that way.
Icy wind can be hard if you don't have level 30 items. Even with the blue buff, the cool down isn't fast enough to keep all the crystals. In that situation, you have to rely on keeping the blue bar full for it to keep the crystals.
Its so nice that you get to jungle peacefully

This week there's only been one match where my team played well all the other times i carried them 🤒
@@Kerrag3you'll eventually get a good team or you'll get an incompetent enemy team, not to mention a succesful ray snipe wins the match in most situations.

So awesome to see icy wind game play from you! I don’t know why but I like icy wind more. Maybe it’s because the damage is instant and less likely to be blocked by an enemy teammate or something-or it’s that lovely crunch sound effect 🤔
Glaceon itself is super underrated. It's almost just as good.

It's my favorite build, it makes easier for me to escape and attack. I play a black and orange emblems and normal add ice shard instead of freeze dry and for items I'd go she'll bell with rapid fire scarf and amplifier(sometimes) but....but, after this video I've learned my lesson, I'm fixing my build asap

You know what's funny? The teammates I get in solo queue GET WORSE the closer I get to Master rank.
My problem with the ranking system is that solo queue needs to be it's on thing
I think their next big update should introduce Master Battles, a new ELO based draft pick ranked mode that you unlock when you reach Master Rank. That way you keep the current system and offer an alternative for players who want more of a challenge
A tip for jungling faster with slow clear junglers. Clear EXTRA slow and then you will get lvl 5 with only 1 baltoy. That 1 baltoy can also be a god send to ur team mate that got killed at 4 about to be 5

Could be the reason why the ranking system is like that is because they made the game for kids.
This is my favorite build in the game. I'm glad nobody plays it because I get plenty of chances to play it
Can u aim icy wind like spear? OR does it always auto choose when there are multiple targets? I like the mobility of icy wind but I dont like that you cant aim the burst damage on a specific target or Rayquaza when it's low hp. Unless you can aim it and Im dumb, lol
you could tap on a portrait to lock onto a specific pokemon before throwing out icy wind. as for ray, you could turn on the alternative basic attack button that only targets wild pokemon in settings (at least for mobile, but i dont see why switch wouldnt have that feature)
Everyone under 1600 in unite usually plays a lot

The blue bar under the HP bar is the timer for icicles. When it runs out you lose them.
Things that refresh the blue bar: boosted auto, using icy wind, using the icy wind boosted auto, hitting an enemy or wild poke with freeze dry
With the CDR items, black emblem, blue buff and the level 11+ native CDR, icy winds can almost refresh itself
legit a silver player in league (peaked platinum long ago) and i got master in about 9 days
Masters is just ranked. It goes by elo 1600+ in masters is good anything less is trash
