The small filter is basically to stop the crud getting to gear box cooler, Curling T is what is used to join alloy surface to each other not silicone or the like, Curling T is used by engineers rebuilding blocks and heads etc it will take more than 2,5 ltd as the cooler and lines will fill with fluid

It does last a lifetime. When it blows up that's the lifetime (of the transmission).

Lots of different information about changing transmission fluids. I'm curious if I should change my Astra 96's (~300k(km)) transmission fluid? Probably never been changed.
At that mileage chances are it got changed if the clutch was ever replaced
@@madman7341I think the clutch is untouched to this day. Fixed the post, it was in km.
I've heard somewhere that older cars used to have in line filters even on the power steering systems.. now it's all single use.. just drive the car to 100k and scrap it 🙁
