I think what gets you hooked is the shelter progression. I didn't like it in the beginning either. But once I started playing more and more it became quite enjoyable.
I liked it until the game quit letting me have the stuff I extracted with. Quit playing now. Won't touch it again unless they make some major changes which is unlikely considering it hasn't changed since it originally released on xbox aside from predatory monetization. You used to be able to unlock a ton of cosmetics and stuff for free within a few hours of gameplay. Now it's unbearably slow and more of a gambling system with the airdrops. Really sucks cause I used to love the game.
It's got great systems, but yes. The monetisation is bad. And I really hope it had a fpp mode. Would have been such a good game. Still fun from time to time.
It’s a cool small game but there making in game items much expensive now and the credits is a scam. Plus the battle pass just for 12$?! Which it only has 50 tiers and the grind is annoying…
BI has always been pretty scummy with their prices. DayZ has a dlc coming out soon that is priced as some good full games out there. I think the best way is to just play it as a free player.
