There is a misleading statement in this video, that George Blanda continued serving as a starting quarterback until he was 48 years old. That is simply not true. He was a backup quarterback for most of those years. He was only a regular starting quarterback for 8 of his 26 years in the AFL/NFL. It could be that he made an emergency start or two in his later years, but if he did, it was the exception, and not the rule. Blanda was one of the best place kickers in NFL history at the time he retired, at 48 years old. It was his kicking that kept him in the league for such a long time.
Drew Brees has the most 5,000 yards seasons and has passed for 7 touchdowns in a game if that’s doesn’t give most skilled quarterback idk what does🤷♂️
14:44 I think his yards and passing TDS are BOTH still season records currently. I feel with the league expanding to 17 games, those will be broken within the next 5 years though.
What's more impressive is Bob griese throwing six touchdowns in a single game against the St Louis Cardinals in 1977 Thanksgiving Day. He only threw 22 touchdowns the whole year. If you don't add the six touchdowns he averaged two touchdowns a game. 1973 super bowl against the Washington Redskins he threw a total of 11 passes. The following year in the super bowl against Minnesota he threw for a total of seven passes. So Bob griese was not a gunslinger he was a general.
ik this is off topic, but people don’t give ben roethlisburger the respect he deserves, he should be brought up in the best qb debate.. behind tom brady, check bens stats compared to aaron rodgers.
You left out Norm VanBrocklin, then with the Rams. He threw 7 TD's in 1951. I believe it was against the New York Yankees. Nick Foles was taken out of the game for the 4th quarter otherwise he probably would ave broken the record.
My gross mistake. Van Brocklin did not throw 7 TD's in this game. He did set the single game passing yardage record at 554 yards which still stands today. Apology for my error.
2:22 that’s just how pathetic the colorless NFL was during MY Chicago Bears dynasty of the 1940s. Halas got the league to not admit color players from 1934-1946 ending integration. Love the team but they had a terrible history at the beginning unfortunately.

Nick Foles also has such a weird nfl career! Does this, then is a back up, then wins a Super Bowl!
Also had a record completion streak
Also he and Adrian Burk both got 7 tds in a game on the Eagles, so 25% of the 7 td QBs happened on the Eagles.
Seeing the 5 5k passing seasons and a 7 td game by Brees, how the hell did he never win MVP!?
These dudes were playing Madden on rookie mode irl!😂
Ong 🤣🤣
Brees was playing on All-madden 🤣

Yet they act as if he is second rate and barely mention him. This aggrivates me as a lifelong Saints fan.
and he only ever had 1 pro bowl receiver in Michael Thomas
If he play all 16 games he has another one.
@@17thN.OBrees is the real goat 😤

7 tds in the 40s and 50s is insane.
Sid Luckman would be something like 80 touchdowns and 10,000 yards in today's game.
Oh easily 20,000 yards and 150 tds
Nah 1 billion

Denver Peyton Manning was built different
Still was very good on the Colts, just overshadowed by Brady most of the time!
Not in the playoffs though

Tua could do it b/c of all of his weapon...he has receives that can turn a 5 yrs reception into a 78 TD catch & run.
YESSIR WATCHING SWEATBANDTV AGAIN LETS GOOOOO so glad to see this content
Rodgers would have broke the record when he threw 6TDs in the first half but he sat out the rest of that game
@@atg1338 he did tho. Would have set the all time TD record in a single game. You and your mother know it.
An interesting fact about Joe Kapp's 7-TD game - Adrian Burk was the back judge in that game.
Point. Kapp was taken out after 6 with a big lead but his backup got hurt and Kapp had to return and then threw #7.

Joe Kapp played against the Baltimore Colts. Decades before they went to Indianapolis.
Mahomes has a 7 touchdown game in him.
Love the old Oilers unis
crazy that the tiddle game could've been more than 7 for sure
Earl Morrall was the starter in most of that Kapp game
Where did you find highlights of Adrian Burk?
7 Touchdowns or 7 Super Bowls the choice is simple.

The next QB to do it will be CJ Stroud
On tecmo bowl with Warren Moon on super Nintendo the 1994 edition,I threw for 1247 yards in one game,I say that the NFL record.LOL
In 1969 they were the Baltimore Colts, young people rarely get history right, 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Poor Bears fans...
I’d say Mahomes, Jalen Hurts Or Brock Purdy
I forgot abt Riley cooper 😭
Seven touchdowns!? How about 7 SB wins? TB12 all the way!!!

Fair enough primarily an oiler remembered as a raider. Hall of Famer
Mahomes is going to do this soon
