- I know I said weekly, and by that account this video is late, apologies but life got in the way and I didn't want to release this video until it was ready. The last video I released wasn't as funny as they normally are, so I made an effort to return to simpler punchier? humor, let me know if it worked. Stealth sniper builds in this game are honestly extremely fun, I'm not gonna lie. Of all Bethesda's games I think this might be one of the most fun to use stealth in. My first survival playthrough was stealth. I never finished because after my character hit level 50 I ran out of perks I wanted and stuff. Up to that point though? It's a great time.
Sniper build with 2 perception...makes perfect sense if you ask me!
Probably why he started with 10 INT base, so he could easily progress and put it all into Perception quick
EDIT: nevermind I actually have no idea why he used the "You're SPECIAL!" For +1 STR
funny enough i'm actually doing that.....on SURVIVAL! I got like 3-4 perception (with gear bonuses included), it's just that I invested in agility and the sneak kill perks (ninja and mr. sandman), and a suppressed overseer's guardian. it's one of the most ridiculously OP things I've went with. makes survival a cake walk and I can't even imagine playing any other way now.

Wanna make it more OP? Like SUPREMELY OP? add agility into the mix, invest in Ninja and Mr. Sandman, then slap a supresor on the Overseer's Guardian and max it out. When all of these are maxxed out, the suppressed Overseer's Guardian does like 230 damage ( not sure if with or without adrenaline on survival ) and 5x the sneak damage. Do the math, 'cause I can sure guarantee your enemies wont get the chance to. it's like a sneaky 1-2 shots and BOOM, they done now!

You should take a look at concentrated fire, they fixed it and the second rank never was supposed to give 15% accuracy and wasn't bugged, but 15% damage; no matter what the wiki says (wiki outdated), and only needing to level 28 with it being able to stack per shot (additive instead of multiplicative) - makes it by far the best perk in the game. Efficiently cheaper than going down the luck tree.

I love that you don’t have an over reliance on vats
VATS isn't the crutch in FO4, free aim mode is. Free aim allows you to hit things further than your weapon range really allows with absurd accuracy. In fact free aim was so easy and boring I had to restart my first playthrough to a charisma build and start using VATS just to get some challenge.
I love it when people pretend they are a badass when they are really using the noob tube without realizing it.

@@sanzuriver2959 vats also stops most damage during the firering phase so for melee builds it's extreamly op, and in close quarters fire fights it allows you to again not suffer not much/any damage while you are still able attack besides fat man's and missle launchers as those explosions will kill you unless you have power armor on. Free aiming is op for accuracy you are correct but vats is op when facing stronger opponents in close quarters combat.
It sounds OP in theory, but in practice it isn't. The reason why VATS give you massive damage reduction is because unlike in free aim mode, while you are performing action in VATS you are completely open to attack by all targets that can attack you. You can use objects as covers in free aim mode, you cannot do that in VATS, but that is a ranged example. For melee, depend on which build the damage reduction in VATS is irrelevant, speed builds that use Pickman's Blade for example is total crap in VATS, but great in free aim and the same applies for any build that uses the Ripper. Builds that wear Power Armor also makes VATS damage reduction irrelevant, because VATS drains fusion core like crazy so the more actions you perform the faster you drain fusion cores, and in survival mode that means carrying a ton of extra weight around.
So the only time someone would use VATS for melee is either purely for damage reduction because they know a big attack is coming and way too late to dodge or block, or they are using Blitz to teleport to different targets. Neither really makes the damage reduction OP, and that is not even mentioning executing actions in VATS cost AP, and not all builds can spam AP to take advantage of the damage reduction, in fact most melee builds that can spam VATS attack are the ones where VATS are not desirable because it reduces damage output significantly.
Now let's look at free aim. On the ranged side, other than being able to use object as cover, it also by default allows movement while attacking. Firing shots cost no AP and some guns fire as fast as you can pull the trigger with almost no recoil meaning massive damage output, also unlike VATS which require investment into Agility and Perception to be anywhere close to effective, free aim works regardless of SPECIAL stats, you can pump Charisma and STR for a shooting character and still be effective as long as you get the weapon damage perk. On the melee side, again the VATS damage reduction is irrelevant since the best defensive melee build already takes little to no damage without VATS, and using VATS just lowers damage potential for melee unless you want to play crit style melee build. If VATS is as OP as you say it is, no one would need to take Lone Wanderer, but in fact most players that use VATS do take Lone Wanderer regardless whether they are melee or ranged build. Damage reduction in VATS is a crutch, because of just how much easier free aim is in FO4. So I can't understand why anyone would even say they VATS is something people can have over reliance on.
I don't go around telling RUclipsr that "Hey, stop using free aim since it's too easy." Use what you like, but don't pretend the free aim in FO4 somehow require more skill or thought to use than VATS when it's the other way around.

Your Nate and Nora designs are quite accurate to the build, Nate specifically has extremely high Perception with his ears and nose, something required for a sniper
