  • Is your Stihl 4 mix leaf blower losing power or not running correctly? maybe it is becoming harder to pull over, if so you should get in and check the valve clearances. I show in depth how to set the valves correctly on a stihl br600, and show the kit needed for proper valve adjustment.
    Doing this regularly (yearly maybe) will prolong the life of the machine and ensure optimum running performance.

    Good idea to check the clearance again after you have adjusted them!

    My teacher recommended this video because we are having trouble with the br 600. We thought it was the carburetor but that might not be the case so we are going to check the valves

    Well done, sir! One suggestion: when you are adjusting the valves we can't see how much turn you are putting on the screws each time. It would be helpful if you said "eighth turn" or "quarter turn" to let us know the size of the increments.
    Anyway, thanks much!

      Thanks, Its hard to give any specific turns as every engine will need different amounts, its very miniscule turns though. 👍

    Thanks my local Stihl dealer wanted $150.00 to do this adjustment. They said the whole blower needed to come apart. B.S

  • @michaelf9050
    @michaelf9050 7 месяцев назад +1

    To make your own its easier if to just cut a 45-degree angle at the top of your feeler gauge, you just need a small point at the top of the feeler gauge to fit into the valve section. It doesn't need to have the rounded tip at the top of the gauge unless you want it to look the same. Just trying to save you a couple of dollars.

      Yeh its not that critical i know, think i would still prefer the shape of the cut off edges though 😅.

    I cut the plastic cover above the spark plug to save time with the wires

    Would this fix a Br600 with low compression? I pull on the starter and feel no resistance

      Could be a number of issues, worthwhile checking the valves though.

    Not necessary, one valve is open, other is closed. Easy...

      Only easy when you know what your doing, this is the way beginners should do it, less chance of cocking something up 😅
