Started back in 2016 on 0.12 with a friend. We had entire weekends lost totally tunnel visioning in local multiplayer. Him with a laptop on the couch, me on my PC at the desk right infront.
One Session I realized on Saturday morning, that on Friday I opened a beer and never touched it. Glued to the chair in between :D

Being able to just measure what’s on a belt loop is such an amazing QoL change omg
Shed a tear for Dosh's cursed inserter counting networks that always lost count and he could never make work quite right XD I know it's not what this DLC is about, but it has such an insane amount of QOL improvements.
I am excited for the release, this looks like a great way to expand on vanilla Factorio and the QOL improvements are awesome.

That new logistics section looks like the best thing since sliced bread with those categories.
Started playing waaaay back before the rocket launch or current engineer model existed. The end goal was just a giant biter wave you had to survive. I made the speggettiest of factories and fixed everything once I implemented robots. By fixed I mean it was still haphazard and spaghetti but I was no longer getting in my own way, and I eventually "completed" the game. I figured out how to organize things down the line in other, more efficient factories. Nearly 10 years later I'm an actual engineer with bills to pay and less time to feed to the machine, but i'm still incredibly excited to pick up the DLC.
Same story over here :) Factorio and technical minecraft mods initially got me into engineering! Now I got my own sustainability department as an environmental engineer :D Good thing nobody at work knows I am paving entire planets in concrete and burning local wildlife with heavy oil flamethrowers in my free time ;) Thanks factorio
I started playing Factorio in 2018 and remember struggling a lot with the game until I found your channel popping up in my youtube recommended. Your masterclass videos carried me through to my very first rocket. Since then I played the game on and off, sometimes with friends (we built a megabase together once) and accumulated over 600 hours. It's been one hell of a trip and I think I'm about to begin my journey to 700 hours in a weeks time lmao

Its really funny that i subbed to nilaus as factorio is so big thing for him but i never played it, never watched any of his vids about it either. Nilaus made other great game vids where i found him years ago. But i do have to say as i been hammering satisfactory and soon finishing it i do have to maybe look at factorio more as even though its not pretty game the gameplay might make it worth it.
I have a total of 3 hours in Factorio. I just stumbled upon you after playing a little with my friends and I've been enjoying your videos ever since.

i started playing factorio WAYYY back, a touch over 10 years ago, approximately half an hour after watching NerdCubed's first factorio video. i wanna say it was version 0.10 or 0.11? maybe earlier. the engineer was a blue power ranger and axes we 1) items to be crafted and 2) had durability

Its probably just because I don't understand the circuit network, but I would just use splitters with priority outputs and inputs. If a belt is full, off the side you go

Hey, can we start a new game now to prepare for the DLC ? or will an old save be unplayable when the DLC is released? There doesn't seem to be any changes before the rocket launch.
You can port old saves, but it's some vanilla technologies are moved to the new planets, so it's better to start a new one.
Oh, the space logistics are so much easier than in SE, I love it....

Developers owned respect through the years, they didn't do famous early access to DLC X day upfront for x2 price but this move I don't understand. Is it appreciation of loyal players or pre-warning audience?

I'm not a fan of stack size multipliers, generally when a game designer nerfs things and makes them illogical because they think people are playing in the wrong way its indicates a game design issue.

I'm really happy they removed U-235 from the space science recipe. Uranium should be a completely optional resource to mine in my opinion.
why you say its finally here.. it is not ! .. btw you have played this dlc for a year already or something... hm is it epic that sell it now? if so i just wait for dlc on steam in 6 days as i have the base game there.. .. btw i also bought the base game direct from web site many years before it was on steam.. and before high res upgrades... game was infact totally new and was 24mb large file i downloaded... i remeber because i was always wondering how so much cool stuff could fit that few megabbyte... later the size increase offcause with all the highres updates back in the days.
