The "Alaska dwarfs Texas" jokes are so much funnier after our recent vacation to Alaska, where we saw about 90% of the merchandise is making fun of Texas's size.
I thought it was kinda sweet when in the beginning, D.C asked Florida to call Alaska, and Florida respected the fact that Alaska likes to be left alone. 😊
One of the older guys in my church lived in Alaska for many years and he literally just told me about Little Diamede. 😂 I asked if you could get a boat to cross into Russia from there. He said, I guess, but you’ll be jailed when you get there, then told me about this guy who crossed over the frozen water and was imprisoned by the Russians.
Honestly...I only know of 3 states where everything will kill you. 4 actually. One of them though everything is simply just bigger but you also have big guns to deal with it. In Florida and Louisiana they're too sneaky, too fast, or too much of both to deal with using big guns. In Alaska they're just bigger than your guns.
Alaskan town of Barrow renamed Utqiagvik, but no one would have known what you were talking about, it's hard to keep up now, but you do a sensational job.
I have been WAITING for you to introduce Alaska since I found your channel, I lived there 1/3 of my life. Alaska definitely has Florida beat in dangerous animals, Exibit A) Moose. Unlike bears moose cant be scared off and dont attack you beacuse you have food or anything, no they'll attack you just because. They *can* kill you so you better start running. Think you're safe in the water? Nope! Moose are great swimmers and will dive 20 feet underwater just to get some special seaweed they like to munch on. This is also how half of them get killed, not because they run out of breath but because of Orcas Exibit B) Orcas. They can and will take down an entire moose for breakfast, luckily they dont really care about humans The people are also just as crazy as Floridians, they just dont get many articles because everyone lives in the middle of the woods so people only really interact to get groceries and stuff, and even then, when something happens who's gonna report it? *tHe NeWs?!*

1:00 OMG it took me several rewatches to realize that Alaska is actually referring to Florida’s first line in the first “The Table” video! Cleverly done, Ben!

I believe the appropriate term for visitors is “outsiders” or “lower 48ers”, or just “damn tourists”.

Do you know that Alaskan's like to tell everyone there are more planes than cars up here? (I really thought that was truth until I read otherwise tonight). And the ladies let all their lower 48 friends that "The odds are good, but the goods are odd" up here. And the small planes stop flying thru the passes for 1-2 days when the birds fly through, and float planes drop big rocks, (balanced on their wing), over a frozen lake to see if they can still land at the beginning of "break-up". Sometimes it works, sometimes the plane sinks when they land. Your humor is really fun and impressive. Thank you!
