I am a practical American. My picture tube console tv didn't play out til 2020. I didn't get WiFi til i had to work from home. When i discovered streaming --Britbox and Acorn ive barely watched anything but Brit tv. (Since 90s I've loved Brit Coms on PBS already, Good Neighbors, Keeping up Appearances etc) Just a few days ago the algorithm started offering me all this extra BBC/ITV dramas. Shetland was probably my all time fav. I suppose Scotish counts too! Brilliant!!!! I love all things Great Britain, incl. The late Queen Elizabeth II.❤❤❤
Brilliant writing and acting from all concerned. Paul Copley one of those actors who's been in loads and if his name is on the cast list you know it's going to be good.
Only on paper. Something produced in WALES should be recognised as WELSH. You never see anything, for example, made in Greece, France, Germany as being sold as made in Europe do you? CYMRU AM BYTH!! 🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
There's a lot of folk who talk trash on the BBC and I'm sure it's not perfect, but compared to programming in the UK vs the absolute GARBAGE in America, shows like this and all the incredible nature documentaries and shows that actually inspire one to think and learn....hands down the BBC has it all over American crap television.
Mary M, I’m American and I totally agree. I certainly make use of RUclips, but I also subscribe to Acorn and Britbox. The Brits write fantastic storylines.
@@OrangeySky11also. Love Acorn and Britbox. I really love how British performers keep their real faces and natural beauty! (Hollywood is so cookie cutter plastic looking. After yrs of that they don't even look human.)
Best programs are the scitish and Britain,s , keep looking for them 70 to 80 to 90. Replying to a right up , touch froted , lot more inspector mores indevure

Poor sweet lovely guy. Just trying to care. Hmm seems I'm watching two different channels 😮. 🤔 it's hard when you don't know how to follow a series. New who was hurting her😱
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea !" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment?"
why was the kid riding on the footpath, not taught to look for vehicles coming out of driveways, his responsibility, not he drivers, their choice to be illegal and lazy parents.
Evelyn Grass think the show was showing it’s wrong but the boy was her son which made it more difficult for her to seek help. I didn’t realise it was her son till close to end thought it was the boyfriend
Domestic abuse is complicated & difficult to handle, especially if you're on the receiving end. The story handled it well. It took the old mans courage to confront it for changes to be made by all. The Moving On series cover some interesting short stories.
