your videos are fantastic. I prepared myself from your RHCSA tutorials and passed it. For RHCE you have multiple playlists.. Could you kindly compile a single playlist foe RHCE tutorials. It would be helpful for us to go through and keep track of our learning path. Thanks for your efforts you made and put on youtube.
@@willnicholson18 o yes, certainly I count my preparation and certification a factor towards my career development, and yes handling linux systems is my daily job. However I planned to enhance my skills with ansible and OpenShift pods, that couldn't have been done yet. Certifications in these areas are still in my bucket.
Hi @compsecgadgets Just wanted to appreciate you for these videos. I passed my RHCSA EXAM today and all thanks to some of the things I learned on this channel. Keep up the good work 👍👍
Thanks for creating this content! Appreciate the time and effort you put on this channel. It's really helpful to us shooting and attempting to complete this certification.
I can't tell you how much I appreciate this video. This is by far the best I've found for these complete steps and getting the VM working properly in VM Virtual Box. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!! It is a supreme kindness. Blessings on your work.
Literally took me whole day to install it due to errors . Uncheck Connect to red hat insights while registering otherwise error will occur and thanks for this great video man keep on posting mate
Spent almost an hour trying to get it to connect. Kept getting some error about organisation. Finally it attached when I blanked out my organisation on my account. Then as it's installing virtual box crashed. Lol Gonna start over tomorrow.
Hey Colin, I am getting a error message "VBoxClient: The virtualbox kernel service is not running. Exiting" at starting page of RHEL8.5. After that it is struck at that window. I have followed all your steps. It came after adding the guest addition CD image. Please help. I have reached Time stamp till 22.13.

Hi, great video so far. however I'm having issues registering my system and not sure why. I sign into the RHEL site without issues, but when I try to register the system I get a 'NoneType' object is not subscriptable. any ideas? thanks in advance.
Hello, Thank you so much for your work. I have three small questions. Is it recommended to use virtualbox in exam perspective insted of vmware? Is the sole purpose of installing the "development tools" is to toggle the mouse cursor between host and guest machines? At 21:42 how did you get access to terminal directly without going to GUI? Everytime I try install RHEL8 on VirtualBox I get an error message "An error has occured, please report". I would really appreciate you if you can answer these questions so that I can further continue my studies for RHCSA.
1) VMware/VirtualBox no difference the actual exam is held on a Live image. However either replicate the exam environment pretty well. 2) You can access it via something like PuTTY if you use SSH forwarding within Virtualbox or VMware 3) Not sure what the error is, can you make sure you are using the latest version of Virtualbox and RHEL8.
@@compsecgadgets Thank you very much for your work. I had same issue in which every time I try to install and reboot the system I get a message "An error has occurred, please report". However I am using the latest version of Oracle VM Virtual Box. I would really appreciate you if you can help us to solve this issue so that we can further continue our studies for RHCSA.
I can't register the system though I used the developer account where I downloaded the iso from , Can we follow on using Centos Edit: Was using my email as username , using the actual uname worked
Firstly thank you for your fantastic effort of making these videos and for the good explanation my question : I am willing to take RHCA exam is this playlist enough for exam preparation ?
Now that CentOs is gone, is it possible to get Red Hat for free for unemployed people?. I'm not a developer so technically i cannot join to the comunity. Actually, i only need Red Hat for studying. Some people is gonna tell me to use Fedora but is the test version of Red Hat and i dont wanna get confuse if an error is made by the test version and not because i made a mistake doing something. If i get i trial version, do i need a subscription for using it or is it gonna expire? Thanks in advances. Greetings from Spain.
As an unemployed developer who registered, there was no verification process when creating an account outside of giving personal information (name, address, position, etc.) For position I chose Developer, but there were a plethora of options, including Student -- so match yourself to one of those titles and don't worry about it too much. I think the developer network is more of a name than a restriction catered to a particular group. The trial version would expire after 30 days, so I highly encourage giving registration a shot before anything else. Greetings from Texas. :)
No pre reqs as such, although it's aimed at a Linux admin of a couple of years experience. Though it's not saying if you don't study hard you'll not be able to pass the exam it's just harder to do so.
@@compsecgadgets thanks. I'm coming from a network admin background and need to pick up some Linux skills. I've been given a year access to RH124 and RH134 courses via RH so figured may as well get stuck in.

subscription-manager clean
Then try to register again

Thanks a lot for creating this resource. Can I use ISO image version 8.2 or 8.3 in order to practice for exam ?
yes as long as its the same major version i.e. 8 then you'll be good.

Use the same NAT network and they'll be able to route to each other.

Did not you have another video almost exactly like this? This is an update? Or may be I'm delusional...
Your right this is a overhaul. Didn't like that the version of Red Hat was so old and had some sound issues too.
