actually mace windu got purple saber cus he wanted a purple motherfucking lightsaber lmao
He knows that, the similarities are still there though.
thats just about it, thats the main reason why
yup.. it was explained in 'making episode III' video. Samuel J asked to Lucas if he can have purple color and he said yes. that's how it went.
He wanted a purple lightsaber so he could stand out in battles and he likes purple
Both are true. Samuel L Jackson wanted a purple lightsaber, George Lucas agreed, and then he established that a purple lightsaber is a sign of a Jedi with dark side tendencies.
In Legends, a lightwhip is usually countered by using a shoto or short-bladed lightsaber in conjunction with a standard lightsaber. Luke Skywalker used this tactic to counter the Sith Lady Lumiya. The fact that Vernestra Rhow has a lightwhip and Qimir's own lightsaber can split into a standard lightsaber and a shoto indicates that Qimir's fighting style might be used to counter Vernestra Rhow if they fight.
It's a Force lightning scar. A lightsaber whip would have cleaved him in half.
Yeah but can't the power of the Lightsabers and similar weapons be turned down with a button?
The power of one the power of two the power of maaaannnnyyyyyy…. Bro anything is cannon now lmao
It’s fiction. It can be whatever they want it to do
I been saying the same thing! I never seen a whip scar in a lightning bolt shape.
teneborus anyone ...he use red lighting and few sith master capable of it...he punish him when he is young since younglings did something teneborus didn't approve
I think it's more likely that Qimmer was Venestra's padawan and she caught him doing something dark and tagged him for it.
Vernestra sounds like a creme for treating Thrush.
It’s a carpet munching parasite that feeds off of good movie material and changes it to waste.
It's a pill that does the reverse of Viagra 😏
Thrush is in the mouth. Have you ever put creme in your mouth for thrush?? Little sus
@@rekthereaper3760 I think you should check again, it can be found in another part of a woman where creme would definitely be deployed to treat it.
@@lesigh1749 lol thought it was only in the mouth 🤣
Amandla Stenberg has the facial emotional range of a stormtrooper.
Wrong. She has the range of a stormtrooper in coma.
@@eddiek8179 And she is still several times more talented than the actress playing Ms. Shrek here... The bug she whips away here shows more emotion than her.
I'd say a rock but I think we're insulting rocks and helmets
And you have the IQ of a house fly
Naw, Samuel Jackson just want a purple lightsaber.
Lumiya actually originated in the original Marvel run after RotJ. That's around the time that I quit collecting.
Mace Windu was gifted the Purple crystal by the people of a planet he saved.
In legends, yes.
Smiloren button >>>>>
And still no one is noting the similarity between Qimir and Torbin's scars, or the younglings' reaction to Vernestra entering their classroom. Obviously a villain.
Umm no, the reason he had purple lightsaber was because Samuel Jackson asked. Funny ppl run with it and it becomes all these other reasons
Search for Lightsaber colors meanings and you'll understand young padawan
The lightwhip or saberwhip was around long before Lady Lumiya. Over a thousand years before Lumiya, a Jedi Knight named Githany used one. At the 7th Battle of Ruusan, she turned to the dark side. Darth Bane knew her back at the Korriban Sith Academy
Don't forget , she was the one who sent the Jedi s to get killed.
Dude love your storytelling and pic and video matching and simulation at the same time it gives visual of the story love it
The show runners didn't give her the light whip. The high republic books did.
God those comics were awful.
@@Kwisatz-Chaderachthe books are amazing though
Darth Lumiya looks like Dr. Maru, a villain from DC Comics.
Wonder if the last scene of the Acolyte series will show Ki Adi Mundi erasing the incident log of the Acolyte from the Jedi Archives revealing him as a traitor???
I thought that Qimir scars on his back look more like scarring from lightning.
I hate the fact she didn’t earn that role, but got it through nepotism by being the wife of the Showrunner.
Vernestra or Sol are the hidden Sith Master that penetrated the order.
Do you have any videos on Darth Maul Lockdown the novel?
Vernestra made her Lightsaber whip after having a vision in the force travelling through hyperspace. So it was established she already had this weapon not the show runners making it for her (I could see the authors of the high republic having taken some inspiration from Lumia)
Mace Windu’s lightsaber is purple because it was Samuel L Jackson’s favorite color and he requested it😬
That went so off topic 🤣
I have to disagree with you on just one thing. I believe that when Luke caught Lumiya as she was falling and brought her back up to decapitate her, it was because she had already shown a knack for surviving and reappearing. He wanted to be 100% sure that she was finally dead. Thats how I read it anyways. He was definitely also more open to what were considered dark side techniques at that time as well. So maybe 6 in one hand and a half dozen in the other.😅
Great video, keep up the good work👍
a light saber, that is a whip, now that's interesting 🤔
first time theyre actually showing it
@2:00 Lumiya is actually from around 1984. She was in the Marvel comics after ROTJ.
a lightsaber whip...
While a real whip causes scars, but surely a ‘light whip’ would just cut someone into pieces?
ITS NOT A WHIP SCAR PEOPLE! ITS A FORCE LIGHTNING SCAR, ITS INCREDIBLY OBVIOUS! HE IS THE FIRST REN, AND HE WAS THROWN AWAY BY BOTH THE JEDI AND SITH AND WANTS SOMETHING NEW…. THE KNIGHTS OF REN.
Damn..I completely forget about this book..wow if they could make a movie about this or even a serious..just wow
They should have based the sequel trilogy on the legacy books. More characters, better stories, would not have divided the fan base.
Lumiya is one of the reasons we have sad Luke in the sequels... At least for my head canon 😎
The idea that Vernestra is some secret Sith Lord and master to Plagueis is such a horrible idea, that, I can actually see Disney trying to go in that direction, or at the very least trying in the early part of the writing. Being as bad as it is, they'd love it. Sadly, it wouldn't work, even for them, so.
Not looking for a punch up or flame war, but… why is that such a horrible idea? I saw StarWars when it first cam out… I was just a wee tack then. Been heavily involved in the comics, novels, cartoons, & computer games, as they came out.
AND.
ITK’S.
ALLL.
A FLIPPING MESS OF CONTRADICTION.
the only way I’ve been able to “go on”, is to compartmentalise. I try to enjoy the presentation I’m interacting with, & not worry too much about how it fits into the grand scheme of things.
@@timcotterill3952 Because Vernestra being a hidden Sith Lord in the Jedi ranks at the time of The Acolyte doesn't feasibly work.
You have to keep in mind that Jedi only accept children into their ranks. By the time we first meet Vernestra in the books. It was Phase 1 of The High Republic. In it's timeline, she was 16, and she became the youngest Jedi to reach the rank of knight at 15.
The Acolyte is set 100 years in the future to that more or less. So think about a Sith Lord, adopted as a child into the Jedi, made rank at 15, and then spent another 100 years at the temple doing Jedi business, seeing generations of other Jedi passing through, and not a single one of them sensed her intentions or figured it out. And she would also need to be the single most emotionally disciplined Sith, to ever grace the galaxy since the Sith's inception. So disciplined in fact, that she would realistically give up the dark to keep the ruse going. Because sooner or later, she'd slip up. Of course she could have a run of playing things perfectly in that 100 years. But if she's that cunning. Mae would have been found, and captured at the end of Episode 2. And it's far too complicated of a story arc for your typical Disney TV show.
So it wouldn't work.
What "could" work is for Vernestra to be a legit Jedi, and maybe she DID train him a really long time ago, before whatever reason that he had for leaving the order or being thrown away as he calls it.
And it could have been a REALLY long time ago. And the writers can get away with it, and not worry about aging him. Because he is Darth Plagueis, and he is ageless.
And that would give him the space in time to chance upon the real Sith Lord who trained him in the Dark Side. Probably Tenebrous
But Vernestra being a hidden Sith Lord in The Jedi ranks? It doesn't work.
Green doja cat was terribly done
Wow, amazing
Definitely force lightning
She's an nepotism hire?
Shocker lesbian hedland put her husband as the main villian. Didnt see that coming from the gasolyte
What’s her being lesbian have anything to do with this?
@@jimmyramos1989pattern recognition. Next question.
Wait she’s a lesbian and has a husband? Which is it
No it wasn’t. He wanted a purple lightsaber because he is mutha fu&king samuel L Jackson
Nobody cares.
We always come out with these theories, and they are usually very wrong lol.
I hadnt seen it yet. I have D+ but just didnt get around to Acolyte until last night. Oh boy.
I lasted about 30 minutes. Couldnt finish the first episode.
BAD cinematography
BAD choice in camera exposure
BAD dialogue
BAD delivery
Nevermind the rest people are complaining about, it's unwatchable AS BASE TV.
Someone needs to be fired. Top down.
Stop wasting your money on that trash, please.
You should see episode 3 lmao
Weird...My take away on Acolyte is completely different, & I'm normally quite a critic& not a SW fan
(Andor was brilliant tho. I love fantasy &sci-fi, for ex ST DS9 is a fav of mine)
Some of the supporting characters in Acolyte are quite well written, the sets & cinematography are so beautiful, the action in episode 5 which was basically a non stop brutal fight scene was TERRIFIC.
I also really like the POV the creators are coming from, being critical of the Jedi institutional dogma...
Episode 3 - Witch Mom: "This is about power, & WHO is allowed to wield it."
That one simple line is Sogreat and sums up much of this show.
As for the bad -
I agree the main actress is NOT good, lol, & she makes some underwhelming dialog seem worse, but fortunately I like the rest of the cast a lot. The pacing is inconsistent as is sometimes true of these types of shows bc the director of almost every episode is a different person with different vision.
For me at least a 7/10 so far.
As for base TV, well, I dont watch it.
Even as a KID I didn't watch TV other than MTV, the History channel, Comedy Central & the news so... to me most basic TV is poorly written trash.
This is definitely more entertaining& well done than the average show Or movie I watch on Netflix, I'm really getting into some aspects of the SW universe now as a result. To each their own🤷♀️
The biggest clue is Leslye Headland cast her own wife in the role, so she’s probably the secret Sith master because Headland wanted to give her wife the role with the big reveal
This is such a bad show it's incredible there are channels that still take it seriously
we need to wait ok
And Kathleen Kennedy said there was no source material that they could use when going beyond George Lucas’ original vision of Star Wars when making the new canon.
When did Luke learned to pilot a starship?!
He grew up flying a T-16 Skyhopper. Is this really a question?
who cares
Why are we talking about acolyte, rather than mocking it?
Maybe because if you talk about the good bits, talking about the bad bird make you look more serious.
I'm homosexual and I'm so damn tired of all this woke DEI nonsense Disney is doing.
You prefer rubber suit aliens huh
Nobody asked nobody cares bud 😂
No way! The sith lord was actually a strong female character?! Who would've guessed. You fooled us disney
the only thing i want to know in acolyte is: what happend to female shreks hair ? that troll aint vernestra
NO ONE CARES!!!!!!!
Who cares, this show is 💩 cancel it now
😂this show sucks . ...episode 5 is good.
They don‘t tell us that the actor is not so good in acting.
Or she is a horrible actor and giving it to the show creator.
Amanda is gorgeous
Amanda who?
The actor who plays Mae/Osha?Her name is amandla.
🤢
@@arwinaBlu_Kat I know, but they wrote, Amanda. It was meant to be cheeky.
Booooo
Cool shilling
WTFC this show is so so bad! Horrible pacing, horrible story, and mostly boring episodes!!
It's all just woke pandering.
Most of it is based around Legend, not worth the watch
Her acting is dreadful.
What it's not telling you. Star war's is dead. And your channel will go down with Disney 😂😂
I’m a huge star wars fan
This show is just awful
This show is TRASH
YOU are trash!
