I don't think I'm ever going to use boxed instant pudding again after seeing how easy it is to make good pudding from scratch. I also wanted you to know that after seeing a past episode where you said you were sending your daughter's friend through college, that when I need something for my kitchen, I will go through your Amazon link before ordering. You both are truly very kind people, the way people ought to be.

Looks good. I make mine like that but I never used microwave & very seldom make banana pudding. I make for others. I don’t like the warm. Strawberry pudding is my favorite with the cool whip & pudding 😁. But that’s exactly how it looked when my mom made it. Bring back memories. She loved it🫠

Love watching you cook. Like watching my mom all over again. Although I’m 56 now, I still cook the same way she and my grandmother did. We always did three layers in a deep 2 quart Corningware square. We also used crushed graham crackers in place of using so many wafers. The ripe bananas do make a huge difference though, and I love a good banana pudding. Thank you for your great channel and sharing so many wonderful recipes.

Tammy, I still remember when I was about 11-12 and my Mother took one of my cousins and me to Birmingham to shop and when we got home we went to the fridge to get some banana pudding, she took it out of the oven that morning. It was gone and we asked my dad what happened. He said what do you mean what happened, I ate it. The whole thing!! I wish I could make him one, he’s been gone six years this Friday.

I've never seen pudding made in a microwave. However, if you live in the South and especially if you don't have excellent A/C in the summer, you might want to make pudding in the microwave so it doesn't heat up your home and cause your HVAC unit to work harder.

Yeah.. should not make meringue when it's humid or raining. HOWEVER, if my grandmother made a pie she was fixing to sell that required it, she'd close all her trailer doors & windows, turn the GAS HEAT & Burners/ oven up HIGH HIGH to burn off the moisture.. then she'd make it & put the pie(s) in the oven!! !! Also, that's the ONLY TIME she'd use cream of tartar. Otherwise she said there's. no reason for cream of tartar.

I'm in Australia but originally from North Carolina, so I know how good nanner puddin' is. I have some questions for you, please. 1)We don't have Niller Wafers downunder. Nothing even close to them. Any suggestions as to what would be a good substitute? 2)Our microwave is only 750watts & not very good for cooking at all. (Mostly used for reheating leftovers.) Can the pudding be made in a pot on the stove? 3)Ive lived here over 20 years & never run across cream of tartar. Mama always used it in her meringues. Is there a substitute or what will happen if I leave it out?
